Hi Barry, Happy Dayz indeed… we used to load out of Brymbo steelworks, never really did any con can work, I remember we did some loads for Halls pop from Flint and Tommy Wilson almost had a load off…that was the end of that job! Don’t recall Reg. We also used to load out of Lane End brick works, Aubrey was the bloke in the office, another character ! I was looking on the Morgan Freight thread, and saw some farmilur faces, Smokey, who used to drive for Hatswells, there used to be a few lads from Flint when TNT first opened there, Frankie, Smokey, Jack, Graham, at the time Hatswell had a new W reg F12 on the job, real flying machine, also an F7, and TK 4 wheeler Jack used to do a night run to Cannock, Shones did the Luton run, F12 was on Bristol, F7 was on Ramsbottom, and Glasgow changeover…as they say, they were the days we worked nights!!

Hi Trevor, no, bit before my time, oldest truck they had was a mk1 Atki, most of the fleet were borderer s, they used to prefix the trailer numbers with the number 2, so they seem to have lots of trailers  then they went onto SK Merc,s and a new fleet, was this to do with old man mayers selling out his interest in Bejam■■? Can’t recall but seem remember ■■?. Who was the driver who always stopped at one of the pubs on the 41, on route back to the works? Do you remember Barry Mayers having a bump in a multi story car park in Leeds with his new Merc    , and they were the first to use skelly trailers , we all said is was so they always got coil work, and no flat iron… :smiling_imp: :imp: :grimacing: , when were you driving in shotton?, GB
