New Zealand Trucking Jobs!

is it not true that only a few jobs, tankers ?, pay enough to meet the $55,000 you need to earn to get residency? and the $55k must be your basic pay? would rule out a lot of hopefuls.

Very true Glenman, many of the Tanker companies pay upwards of 65,000 NZD, hence why most of the brits here are Tanker Drivers!
But dont let this put you off, many of the lads I work with at BP have never done petrol before.

do you work out of the mount by any chance ?

I use to Glenman, I had to move up to Auckland to get on the residency bandwagon, paid off as I become A NZ Resident in three weeks…still a long way to go, but hoping to move to Oz in the near future, pretty much like all the other Brits down here, lol!

Do you need to have an ADR for the tanker work?

is it still not 5 years residency before you can go to oz ?

British ADR is worth nothing down here, the NZ equivalent is all done on a one day course, and almost guarantee pass!
Most companies will fork out for you to obtain all of the above, depending on which company you get employed by!

Hi DonutUK, ADR is an international agreement between (currently) 45 countries and covers most of mainland Europe including Russia and Kazakhstan. The exception to the ‘Europe’ thing is that Tunisia and Morocco are also included in the 45 members of ADR.

New Zealand has its own set of dangerous goods Regs.
