Cheers, DBP! You won’t believe it but I am well into writing the sequel, so if you hear of any new information regarding these beasts then spill the beans on one of those ERF threads, or PM me! Robert :smiley:

Double whammy on the publicity front this week:

a two-page spread (article) in Commercial Motor magazine (pages 38 & 39);

and a very nice review in TRUCKING magazine (page 38).

Cheers, Robert :slight_smile:

Its a great website truckblog :sunglasses:

Obtained a copy a couple of weeks ago and have now been allowed to see it.
As someone who saw them off and often tipped them on the way back (my little A series was a ton or more lighter) but never got sand in my socks it was good to see life from ‘the other side’. Sadly many of the pioneers are no longer with us. International trucking and especially the Middle East variety is not conducive with making old bones.
Great book, Great photos of a great beast. But how young some of the drivers look. Remember this was the time when you could pass your test at 21 and jump in a truck and go. None of this 25 and 2 years experience claptrap they get today. At 25 in the 70’s you were considered a veteran.

Thank you Zzarbean! Let me take this opportunity to remind all that I am well into writing a sequel and have quite a lot of material: so keep your eyes and ears pealed for any info / pictures / stories / potential interviews concerning the old ERF NGC.

I’ll be book-signing at Gaydon truck show this weekend. Robert :slight_smile:

Seth 70 has drawn my attention to a very nice article about this book, and about ERF NGCs in the new Summer 2015 issue of TRUCKING magazine. Robert :smiley:
