Not many people bother with handles any more round our neck of the woods if you really want one I can’t see a problem but mainly they are given , eg “gearjammer” or “difflock” normally to do with less than complimentary situations, I was once called Griff the diff after the diff lock didn’t disengage when I switched it off ,but it didn’t last long.

Are CB’s still quite popular in the UK?

I live over in Ireland, there’s still a few of the Irish lads using them but they’re on a different frequency to what’s used over in the UK. I’ve not had one in the cab for quite a few years, they used to be great years ago when I was over in England.

I’m now in a different truck every week, so now I use Zello on the phone, on a channel called hgv drivers unite, but also other channels, it’s like CB but without carrying a board and an arial etc

I’m quite enjoying it whilst down the road tbh, especially with the missus working shifts, so ringing her is a pain in the ■■■■ with my start / finish times.

Some ■■■■ on there, as expected, but that’s only 1 channel, there’s many channels and also you can create your own, could have a trucknet channel

ok so ive just been given a new truck (new to me) at work and it has a CB in it but ive no handle any suggestions

i,ve retired from driving 44 toners now and i had c b handle ( SURFBOARD ) and if you want you can have it ,or not up to you.Dave !!
