Good post, that cab looks tidy didn’t think they would bother having a walnut dash on a tipper.Along with air horns, air con and sunvisors now
They provide/replace cb aerials aswell…
Soon they will have you kitted out in kelsa bars when the economy picks up that is!

no way would you catch me driving that. The headlight aim looks a bit out!
One of our old units; My Uncle had this one new.
The chap here didn’t know you had to wear ppe as he didn’t see any signs…
This is actually a spare wheeler, 02plate
Not into arty ■■■■■ photography but I was pleasantly surprised with this one
That place you mention at Kirtlington - do you mean behind the gritter depot on the A4260? I thought that was more Deddington but looks similar.
Your truck looks very tidy, but you can sadly see the DAF bits eh? That said I was in a DAF yesterday ho hum.
See you around no doubt mate!
No mate I know where you mean, Milton Highways depot but Kirtlington Copse is out of Kirtlington towards Upper Heyford. It was mentioned in Oxford Mail recently about “residents spotting naked men in the hedgerows”…
Oh my! Glad I have never been there then!
Waiting for this 8wheeler to load in Oxford this morning.
A couple of pics taken this afternoon at Smiths stone quarry at Dewers’ Farm, near Ardley.

The inside of that cab looks immaculate, and you’ve put a cloth down for your feet! Tut tut I thought you didn’t care!
What do you make of this one then, Luke?
We have half a day in the yard very 6 weeks to prepare them for servicing…
is that an ETS in a Foden Alpha?

Never mind the ETS, I’ve forgotten how to wind a window up and down !
Bet it’s more reliable though

ETS; Sadly it’s Eaton Twelve Speed not the much missed Eaton Twin Splitter Some of our Fodens have the 16 speed Daf switch, others that originally had the Eaton switch are slowly having them changed. Mine’s the only 6wheeler with a 12 speed and although slower changing gear, it’s better on fuel than the others. The 8s that still have the 12speed are a bit better than the others too.
Regards the window winder, it was the last one to arrive with one. No aircon either…
These were meant to have been some of the very last fibreglass cabbed Fodens built and attracted spotters and photographers at MSAs. Powered by ■■■■■■■ Celect 340s
