Hi Wheelnut , it is rct yard , we have been busy and bad weather so it not as tidy as normal :wink: .Micks funeral is on thursday , the loads in Germany ,this is the last of 8 loads and all we are having is bad luck , we lost 8 hours getting off M20 and in customs ,behind schedule then the first axle on the trailer bearing collasped went red hot bent axle ,lucky not to have set fire to trailer :exclamation: :exclamation: . Holiday for some festival in Germany so no one about till wednesday ,flew home left truck there. Will take out used axle in couple of days and carry on , trailer came from Kallingrad , i loaded it with old mercs thought she was in good shape , i was wrong :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation: .

bit of bad luck eh mate, are you takin it all the way Afganistan then selling it?, if so will you be taking any photos. would be good to see how the journey has changed.

hi gaz , we now hand them over to turks , we started to overland in 2002 and were doing 50 loads a year, we then found iranian drivers who do the last 4 days cheap , we gave them the trucks at the gate at Gurbulak they always did a good job , now the turks take them from Istanbul and go all the way,two german guys were still doing the whole trips from munchen on export plates havent heard of then for a while they were hippies from the early seventies.
