pretty sure that angus uesd to have his own unit, running timber in ayrshire.

HA HA HA thats the best one I’ve heard in the 14 years I’ve “known” Angus. It’s actually the reason I joined up here to put that story straight ,
You all know that Angus will be watching this thread and will be trying to identify you all.Luckily I don’t have any reason to be down in his neck of the woods anymore and even when I was he couldn’t get it into his thick skull that even though I was a Northern Irish driver I wasn’t pulling the fuse or putting a wire on . After stopping me ( routine check driver) for the 5th time inside 2 weeks and dismantling the dash and fusebox and not finding anything ( there was nothing to find ) I asked him if he was a qualified auto electrician . When he replied that he wasn’t and what of it ? I lifted the phone , rang Keltrucks and told them to send out an autoelectrician to put the dash and fusebox back and told Angus that he was paying for it. Never had any problems on that stretch of the M6/5/42 again but he made a point of following me and passing me slowly afterwards - I always waved to him. :smiling_imp:

Now about that timber lorry - I think you will find Angus got his experience as a shunter in the Carnation ( Nestle) plant in Dumfries. Thats the extent of his previous experience - and he don’t like to be reminded about it either
If he stops you - tell him the Irish lads say hello - but only if you are 100% legal

Is it just me that thinks Angus is a tad racist

This particular show he saw a Northern Irish truck and quickly got on his tail, The previous show he done same with 2 other Northern Irish trucks. If they was coloured there would be something said

And you can tell the vosa lady was on a “power trip” jesus she was bullied at school was’nt she :unamused:

I felt sorry for the irish lad, Fair enough he didnt have a driving license  But if anyone has seen how the romanians pass there class 1 license your be scared to overtake them again :open_mouth:

Come on Forever C!! Felt sorry for the Irish lad, he knew the score. How can you have the gual to drive a artic, in a foreign country knowing you aint passed a test, cant be insured. The guy with the OP Licence will be ■■■■■■■■ himself too, as well he should be. If that guy God forbid had ploughed into a bus full of people it wouldnt have been on a side channel 4/5 program, it would have been on ITV at news at ten!

I wonder how many guys have drove with a provisional licence all over the uk and beyond? As you said he knew the score but what excatly was his punishment■■? Hardly any so why worry about a little fine when you can just chap on!! I know a few who have been thousands of miles from home on a provisional but they didnt worry about it either

“Foreign country” Wasnt the lad from Northern Ireland?
And your right, Exactly he did know the score! If he did plough into a bus of people he would of got MORE of a sentance then a driver with a license!.
Back in the “olden days” :unamused: i remember coming back from spain and the Irish bloke infront of me saying to his 15 year old son “you can drive the rest of the way am hitting the bunk” surprising this wasnt unusual at all! and am sure many drivers on here have seen/have done that in the past.

Am not excusing the bloke from breaking the law, But am sure he is better then 80% of these eastern europeans that are on our roads!.

I’m not so sure you’re correct. I’m sure at least one guy here actually ran out the same timber yard as him and did post a photo of Angus’ truck.
