Motorway cops

You mean the EX MRS driver! :stuck_out_tongue:

routier:
that MRS driver is a complete nob. what a dipstick.

I’ll bet he doesn’t (or did’t) suffer from stress like some do on here !!!

routier:

totally agree, he should have got alot longer than a 18 month ban, a car driver will get that the next mornin after a night out, that ■■■■■ was actually drinkin 9% lager drivin on a motorway :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Can’t believe that rigid driver was up and walking about. Looks like the luck of the irish finally ran out for that geezer aswell having not even passed a car test :open_mouth: As for the ■■■■■■ up driver, what a toss piece :unamused:

routier:

Thats a polite way to put it, drinking and driving while in charge of that vehicle is the most irresponsible thing possible, what a complete and utter zbzb

He has probably been doing it for years and could easily of killed someone,ZB

On the plus side it looks like theres a job going where he used to work.

That under cover cop lorry got a few suprised faces as it went by. lol

What an absolute ■■■■■■■■ that guy was. And as for Angus being a (insert expletive here), the only thing I saw was him pulling dickeads who shouldn’t have been driving trucks in the first place.

Now I fully understand that as you are posting on here, you probably aren’t a famous film director, but you don’t think they may just have edited all the best bits together and left the bits where they stopped people and found everything was ok, on the cutting room floor do you?
They come up past me tooting away on the horn an the M5 or M6 once. There was nothing wrong with the truck, it was as if they wanted me to face the camera for something as when looked they just carried on filming and didn’t gesticulate to pull over or point back towards the back end or anything. I shrugged my shoulders in a ‘What?’ kind of gesture and they shot off.

Maybe he just wanted to show me he’s a big boy driving a truck?

But after all that, I was shocked to see a guy that far over the limit in the afternoon whilst driving. Can you imagine what the public must think of us after watching that? It will be on everyone’s mind now every time they see a truck incident.

i know us irish may have a fairly dodgy reputation, (ps i dont drive trucks, yet) but what kind of boss would let a guy out on a ■■■■■■■ provisional licence :open_mouth: that is taking the ■■■■
there must be enough people looking for jobs without doing that,

the guy drinking the lager was unbelievable, 10 cans up on the bunk ready for the day!, on on the mobile!

I think youve answered your own question, a dodgy one

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: some scary stuff on that video, and the biggest culprit was the IRHA president who owned the company the south african was working(slaving) for.

Would he be anything to do with Quinn glass near chester?
That would explain why all the trucks in their colours are Eire reg, which I don’t think should be allowed.

I don’t think any of us have a problem with the police doing what they portrayed in last nights program, it may seem underhand to use a tractor to catch drivers doing what they shouldn’t but thank god they do - MRS driver (ex) must have been pi*sed most days looking at that. I am just glad he was caught before he committed murder!

Drinkin Speacial Brew / Tenant Extra , thats Alcholics juice that is, 9%!!! Unreal. He was on the phone, Angus toots, He puts his thumb up whilst still on the phone!!! wtf
Unreal. Banned for 18 months ? sorry he should have been banned for 5 yrs. I hear of car drivers getting more. and his fine was only ÂŁ115 I think? why ?

On another note, surely where he loaded / tipped they would have smelt alcohol on him ? definitely had a drink prob drinkin at that time and the stuff he was drinkin. Its a well known alchos drink!

I still think Angus Loves bein a trucker and surrounded by trucks. Hes like a pig in [zb], pardon the pun, every time he can jump in the seat and safely take the vehicle to the compound… like watchin a child opening their presents on Xmas day!

still, what was shown last night showed , as one member put it, ■■■■■■■■■ who shouldn’t have been driving trucks in the first place.

I agree entirely, there was another lad on there in a car with no insurance who I think got a 600 odd quid fine and points, the truck driver should have been jailed in my opinion but our law does not allow for that, as for Angus - well the least said the better although it is clear he enjoys his job!!!

ive just lost ajob where most of the drivers class 1 smoke dope before after and during their working day and what gets me is they dont even think its wrong too show me or tell me as though i do it too tossers :imp:

No that is (was?) owned by Sean Quinn, formerly Irelands richest man. Also their trucks are on Northern Irish reg, well mostly, therefore they are part of the same country as you like it or not.

I thought that that one programme was last night much more interesting than the entire recent series on Stobarts, which seemed to me to be aimed at Stobarts groupies or children, although the former was another take on the usual mayhem on the roads and people trying to prevent it. Of course there were still simplifications like saying any and all artics always way 44 tonnes and calling that mangled DAF 18 tonner a box van to make it seem much smaller than the trailer it hit. As for Angus and the VOSA lady who seemed to enjoy finding fault with drivers, well that is part of their job to clamp down on “irregularities” so don’t (legally) give them the opportunity to get you!

To Routier, the drunk driver went back to his cab to chew on some Airwave gum to hide the booze smell,so i guess he did this when he got loaded and tipped.
On another note,if the Police drive your wagon away, does he complete the tachograph records and missing mileage to where the Police take the wagon to.Does the Police HGV driver have to comply with tachograph rules, and are they insured to drive a firms truck, what happens if the offender was in an ADR vehicle, fuel or chemical tanker/trailer,and there was an accident while taking it away?
Must cost a lot to run that Scania all day.
With the Irish driver with a provisional licence, this reminds me of a drivers story about a 15 year old Irish lad that looked older than he was, working for his family firm, eventualy he got stopped and appeared to drive well, and Dara O`Briaian did make a joke about how the Irish regard rules and regs and how far they can be pushed and to what level was deemed to be not acceptable and taking the mickey in Ireland and its culture regarding rules and laws.

I doubt Airwaves hide the smell that good, the copper spotted straight off!

Who funds the running costs of that Scania then ? doesnt ye Council Tax fund Police services ? :open_mouth:

Yes, what would happen if there was an accident when the vehicle was being driven away ?

i would have thought a ‘rota’ garage would have been called and sent a driver to ‘recover/impound’ the vehicle.

Surprised at the recovery for the ‘irish truck’ problem. a ‘wrecker’ showed up & then it drove off under it’s own steam ? Not a lift & shift ? Unless it’s recovery’s way of ‘bumping’ charges :astonished: Unless they were given duff recovery info by the BIB :astonished:

Isn’t the truck ‘loaned out’ by scania ?
