A police force has begun recording attacks on members of subcultures, such as goths and emos, as hate crimes.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is the first force in the UK to treat the offences in such a way.
Previously hate crimes were only registered for offences against race, religion, disability, ■■■■■■ orientation or transgender identity.

Groups such as these are clearly a lifestyle choice and just because others disagree with it they should be protected from bigots and bullies. You simply cannot judge a whole group by the actions of some within it. There are plenty of none caravan dwelling diesel lifters. They are all thieves, plain and simple. A yard I worked out of got hit several times and the culprits when apprehended were middle to upper class late teens to early twenties using one of the parents cars to cart it away 
It’s up to the site and staff to ensure the rules are adhered to whether they personally agree or not.
It would be wrong, for example, for people to read this thread and conclude that all drivers are neanderthal idiotic racists

The thing with moderation is that it’s private, so the members don’t see what goes on behind the scenes. The moderators are subject to the same rules as everyone else, none of us get any special treatment, believe me. I could show you all numerous PMs from my fellow mods where I’m on the receiving end of a major bollocking, but like I said, they’re privateThe other thing to bear in mind is that when threads get locked down it is not necessarily because of the last post, this site is not manned 24/7, so by the time an infringement is spotted, there may well be another dozen posts made by other members
