If there is something you found in the Bible ambigous, tell me so I can give you my opinion on what it means,if you want
Sploom:
Yes,I appreciate you are only Christianaphobic
Not at all, Christiana is a lovely girl, I’ve got lots of time for her.
I’m not anti-Christian, I’m merely opposed to the brand of retarded, anti-science, evangelizing, irrational, literal-translation-but-with-poor-grammar-and-spelling Christianity you promote.
And even then, that is only if there is any veracity to your internet persona, which is, IMHO, doubtful.
Sploom:
The gospel is not for everyone, only the chosen few
As I said once before: evangelists are in reality just narcissists who need the crutch of religion to validate their self-love. So again, we’re back to the topic of your questionable mental health.
According to you, because dinosaurs aren’t in your book, they weren’t real. You opt for fairy-tale fake “explanations” of natural phenomena, rather than embracing the rational scientific world.
I bet you tell people “science doesn’t know everything”, while you embrace what science has given you (the very technology you’re using right now to read TN)
I suppose you think your God put the oil, gas, and coal under the ground, do you? Not to mention diamonds and other pressure-formed minerals.
I imagine you think the periodic table is “Satan’s work” too, don’t you? Geologists to you must be The Devil-Incarnate, with their inconvenient proofs of the age of our planet.
Your mentality is no different to the mentality of those people who tortured and murdered tens of thousands of people all across “Christian” Europe from the 14th to the 17th centuries, mostly females, and aged from 9 to 99 years old, all of which was done in the name of your IFITS.

Let’s start with Psalm 17:14:-
The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSV): “With Your hand, LORD, save me from men, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life: You fill their bellies with what You have in store, their sons are satisfied, and they leave their surplus to their children.”
English Standard Version (ESV): “from men by your hand, O LORD, from men of the world whose portion is in this life. You fill their womb with treasure; they are satisfied with children, and they leave their abundance to their infants.”
God’s Word to the Nations (GWN): “With your power rescue me from mortals, O LORD, from mortals who enjoy their inheritance only in this life. You fill their bellies with your treasure. Their children are satisfied with it, and they leave what remains to their children.”
King James Version (KJV): “From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.”
The Septuagint (LXX): “because of the enemies of thine hand: O Lord, destroy them from the earth; scatter them in their life, though their belly has been filled with thy hidden treasures: they have been satisfied with uncleanness, and have left the remnant of their possessions to their babes.”
New Revised Standard Version (NRSV): “from mortals– by your hand, O LORD– from mortals whose portion in life is in this world. May their bellies be filled with what you have stored up for them; may their children have more than enough; may they leave something over to their little ones.”
New International Version (NIV): “O LORD, by your hand save me from such men, from men of this world whose reward is in this life. You still the hunger of those you cherish; their sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.”

Ok,I see you picked the most contraversial one, but,it deserves a response, but I just need some time

I dont know what to say to all that.I have no desire to go and murder thousands of people, its not my thing

I dont know what to say to all that.
Yes I know you don’t, because it is a series of rational statements that challenges you to explain both the natural and anthropic world as we know it in the 21st century.
However, the only rational approach would require you not to resort to some old, pre-scientific Hebrew/Aramaic fairy-stories, mostly told by simple uneducated fishermen or farmers etc, a couple of thousand years ago, men who would have thought a whale was a giant fish, but which you still believe trumps the current sum total of human knowledge.
You cling to that even though the everyday accoutrements of our 21st Century would quite literally look like “magic” to your ancient fairy-story tellers.
The KLM 737 that I’ve just seen from my living room window would have been considered “a messenger from God” to The Disciples, however a modern rational person knows it is science and aeronautical engineering that allows a man-mad object weighing between a minimum of 45 tonnes to a maximum of 85 tonnes, to defy gravity and fly.
It is the anti-science of you people that I find so nauseating: We are not “the image of god”, we’re a hairless ape which evolved about 200,000 years ago, from other apes. This planet is 4,800,000,000 years old, before us were many, many, many other creatures. Some of these creatures are the source of the oil we extract from the ground, which is where the diesel in your truck comes from.
The dinosaurs existed for about 250,000,000 years. If it wasn’t for the Chicxulub asteroid 65 million years ago, we would not exist.
Your existence is predicated on believing what cannot be proved, yet ignoring the wonders of the natural world around us, and the anthropic products of the most mysterious object in the known universe: The human brain.
Sploomius, you might ask us:- God loved you so much that he killed his own son. Yet you reject him and do not appreciate this gesture. Why?
This is all totally relatable. I love you so much that I also killed my own son in order to demonstrate my love for you. Don’t you appreciate the gesture? Want to see his body?
Perhaps I should explain: you see, I had to kill him in order to forgive you.
You might be wondering: “forgive me for what?” Nothing. It wasn’t anything you did. I was just holding a grudge against you for something your earliest ancestors did and I was unable to get past it. Oh sure, I tried mass murder and that did help for a time, but it wasn’t long before I realized I was still angry at you.
So this is the solution I came up with. I kill my son (who incidentally is also me so it was really a form of suicide) and then I can forgive you. For the thing you didn’t do.
But just to be clear: this doesn’t actually mean that I forgive you. In order for me to truly forgive you, you must properly appreciate the sacrifice I made of my son (who is me) as an offering to myself. If you don’t appreciate it, you’re not forgiven.
So, do you appreciate that I killed my own son in order to demonstrate my love for you or not?
It sounds like you believe God exists but you hate Him.
Is this how you feel?
> Sploom:

No-one has ever come close to providing evidence that God Exists - none of the multitude of versions of your Bible have either.
The best they can come up with is ways of making you believe - including Death Threats and even worse: Eternal Torture & Pain.
But if your God did exist, his threats put him on a par with Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, Vladimir Putin, and many other violent genocidal maniacs.
So you think Hitler should escape eternal punishement and be let through the pearly gates?
I’m going to state my religious position here, some of you can scoff if you wish of course, its quite fashionable to mock those of any Christian beliefs or sympathies whilst carefully avoiding mocking other faiths eh?
Its become increasingly obvious to me that pure evil is walking the earth, far from being unhindered this evil is welcomed and endorsed and worshipped by increasing numbers of those who crave power and wealth, whatever form this evil takes it rewards its adherents with the wealth and power they crave, how sad it is to watch hopefuls cosying up to the powerful in order to gorge on the scraps they drop from their tables of feasts.
The world hasn’t yet gone fully to hell in that infamous handcart, and the only reason i can come up with is that enough people are aware of this evil and stand against it, some of them believe in a higher power of good (i do), some know instinctively right from wrong which often stems from their morals instilled in them from previous generations who didn’t openly mock the beliefs of others.
Look inside yourselves you know that what has happened in recent years is wrong on so many levels, it’s not incompetence on behalf of the appratchik classes its deliberate and orchestrated with rich rewards for those who colluded, and no shortage of willing particants/voyeurs as was ever the case.
Sadly as seen in the last 3 years the state endorsed versions of the church deserted the people of faith in their hours of need by closing their doors on the instructions of those who sought and took for themselves unprecedented powers, this was unforgiveable surrender to eveil and the churches and leaders of such concerned should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for obeying such orders, those churches will not recover from this.
As such my faith, for what its worth, isn’t through a church, its personal.
One of the things that happened to me before I converted to Christian fundamentalism was how much I was preoccupied with what people thought of me.Everything I did and said seemed to be subject to the approval of others and you can be in this state without even realising it.Its like a virus that operates in the background without being visable but you cant see it until you step back and view it from outside the box(i hate that expression) but once you arrive at the place where, people dont have to like you,its a great undoing of the chains that were holding you there without you realising.
Now,dont get me wrong,I dont try and make enemies but I soon realised that ,yes, those that had power over me before,of course, they dont like it when they realise its gone

You can do all that without having to believe in an imaginary being, or follow some kind of restrictive religiious code to achieve it .
If you are too concerned about what people think of you,.(especially those that have no real bearing on your life, so who in real terms do not matter anyway), it shows a lack of character, confidence and ability imo.
I personally could not give a flying ■■■■ what anybody thinks of me, nor do I try and gain anybody’s approval.
I just let people judge me as they find me, and if I don’t like them I sure as hell do not or can not pretend that I do, my Mrs often rebukes me for making it blindingly obvious that I do not like somebody.
On the other hand if I do like someone, then it comes across clearly.
So there is no religion of any form or denomination neededed in order to achieve the state of mind that you (conveniently ) give religion credit for…
Btw wtf has all this to do with migrant barges ?..,.which was the reason I Ioked at this thread,.
Are you now attempting actual blanket coverage of ■■■■ religion to achieve your ends??
It was Zac_A that changed the course of this thread so you have to ask him but yes I agree with the rest of your points

Sploom:
Well, the British people did vote for this. There were political parties that wouldnt have allowed this situation,so good complaining now, just learn to live with it.We will need to constantly build more and barges to cope with the demand. We that voted for Brexit did so partly to take back control of our borders and immigration. Do-gooders stepped in at every opportunity to stop the plans.
You claim to be a Christian - have you offered refuge to any in your home? I’m sure there’s a Bible reference somewhere…
I don’t think do-gooders stopped it. The tories have been in power not the communists. The tory pals in business quickly realised they wouldn’t be able to pay starvation wages anymore so requested immigration was increased and hey presto - it’s through the roof and higher than it ever was before Brexit. Those wage increases we were all expecting to keep happening forever are looking dead as a dodo now.
Interesting bit of accountancy from the tories tho - when they pay the hotels they pay the VAT - that comes straight back to them and they then mark that down as “overseas aid” payments.
So sky high migration (the only reason anyone ever voted for Brexit) is worse than ever and Brexit is still costing us 100 billion a year - so a few Eton schoolboys could have a group tug over “beating Europe”. (It reminds them of their schooldays)

I merely pointed out the excruciating irony of you talking about other people being brainwashed.
As for your Hilter commentary: Hell - not real, “Pearly Gates” - not real, Hitler - was real but now dead.
Obviously Hitler was evil, as were many others (Stalin, Pol Pot, Ian Brady, Peter Sutcliffe etc etc) but once they’re dead that’s the end of things as far as their lives and any potential punishment is concerned.
At least for those of us who don’t live with the notion of fairy-tale land in an afterlife.
