One of my favourite books is still Robert M. Pirsig’s Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, which I suspect you’ve read. The “Church of Reason” thread described your experience at uni to a ‘T’.

I haven’t read it, but I always meant to. I’ll have to put that on my Xmas list now you’ve reminded me of it :+1:

You could get a copy from a second-hand bookshop probably, for all I know it’s on Kindle. It was published in 1974: while some of it is of its time, its themes are IMO timeless.

I’m quite happy spending money on books, and it’s readily available, including in hardback
