MAN-TGA

as regards fuel economy, i have just checked mine the old fashioned way, using pen and paper

the 06 plate 430 XLX with Euro3, last week achieved 9.84mpg

the 57 plate 440 XXL with Euro4, last week achieved 8.97mpg

they are both doing containers for the same company, running out of Felixstowe

edit to add

these are running mixed weights and size containers

We run a 02 460 xxl with over a million kms on the clock. Been a decent machine…engine is remapped to 560bhp…pulls very very well…the cab is nice and comfy…the comfort shift is a gift.

We had the 360 versions in teso Ireland. They all returned about 6.5mpg"…when out of the garage.

had them when it was corby chilled, very comfortable, went o.k,but even though theyd only done 300k they were falling apart, switches, doors etc,etc the scanias we also had at the time had done 700k + but were still rock solid,as i say they were probally the most comfortable truck ive drove,i liked driving them, but the fit and finish was woefull to be honest.i remember the bloke who was involved in buying/speccing process said we wouldnt be having any more.that said i still see one[i assume its the same truck still about],going after all these years
had a 58 reg on another job ,i always remember it went in too have a repair done to the wipers, they cable tied it,boss was not impressed at all,the truck was basically new.

I thought you said you drove a City Link van and didn’t have an HGV licence?

Theres 4 parts to ady1 and your talking to one of them now

Does anyone know if you can programme a new rideheight into the memory from the suspension keypad on MAN TGAXXL? The on I drive seems to be tilted forward like a drag racer. It needs a new rideheight programming in.

never heard of anyone doing it, sounds more like something on the load sensing side of things is knackered, theres a little arm at the back , outside the chassis alongside the drive axles which gets covered in crap, stopped my drive axle airbags fully inflating until i took it off and cleaned it up

Can be programmed with mancats at the main stealer to any ride height you desire. Not sure how much they’d charge mind! Can’t be done through the in cab control unfortunately.

What we have found running a MAN TGA 440 is a ABS warning light is a problem on some trailers …

I have the same problem with mine but still works

Ours keeps coming up with fault and locking the brakes on … any ideas would it be ECU or trailer brake valve ? it seems to be locking the wheels on the unit.
