MALTA DIARY

pepperpot:
barely alive, He was probably bored with all the time off he’d had!! Auxilary aircon, did that mean you opened your windows?

No, he means he has air conditioning that works when the engine is off. So, while the rest of us are baking in some godforsaken central European oven of a truckstop, doors and roof open, tossing and turning, drenching the bunk with sweat, wondering if we’ll ever get to sleep- Graham is relaxing, probably with the gentle strains of Vivaldi coming from the stereo, and a nice bottle of chilled Grüner Veltliner open on the table…

…sent from my computer through clenched teeth

It’s always quite difficult to judge just how many pictures to put in and how much to write.
Those that do a few diaries develop their own style.
Some prefer writing to pictures, some prefer pictures with a few words to set the scenes. Just do it the way you want to, whatever seems near enough right to you.
Night pic’s tend to all look quite similar though, black with a few brighter spots

That was a good read with interesting photo’s, a pretty good diary all together.
We’ve ALWAYS liked diaries in here
Another one would be most welcome whenever you like.

GB are you in Leeds, I’m just at a killers gig and a couple of fly by night are parked up here■■?

Fair play to you, an interesting post, thanks for taking the time to post it, well done!

Cracking diary gb1 with great photos that gave you a good feeling for the trip even the one of mt etna with the ghostly reflection! Iam just packing my bags to head to Belfast which will seem a bit boring after your trip so don’t think I will be posting a diary myself!

Jeez Rich, I never noticed the reflection. That geezer looks barely alive! Who could it be■■?

I’d appreciate any constructive criticism. I really enjoyed writing the diary, although I wonder if I should put more detail into it.
Does the diary need more scenic photos?
Fortunately, because most of the driving was completed in the daylight (we normally drive at night), photo opportunities were
more plentiful, which certainly helps enhance the subject i’m sure.
I’ve got another tour coming up shortly which visits Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kiev and Minsk, so i’m hoping to do
something about that too.

As a reader and a writer, that diary is spot on

Yep, fantastic diary, one of the best I’ve seen. I’m suitably jealous!

Superb read !!!
I’ve just recently started with a firm that does uk & european general, so that’s just wetted my appetite even more.
I’ll be banging on the bosses door for some euro :sunglasses:
Cheers again GB1
