I don’t know about you but I’m glad some of the members of this forum are truck drivers and not working for the NHS.
The guy on the bridge wins my sympathy. In order to have a mental health condition requires a functioning brain. Some of the comments on this thread originate from the sort of bottom lip over top lip arms folded arrogance commonly associated with people who struggle to come to terms with the inadequacies of their own brain.
Cruise Control:
Why wasn’t the “double decker” routine used? They have done it before in same situation else where.
What’s that then?
It is when they park a line of double-deck artics preferably, or, double deck buses across the width, closely side by side directly underneath the intended.
That way the potential fall height is reduced.
Well thats the theory anyway
you could use normal height trailers probably.
The chances are only limb breakage if fall 7ft then fall an additional 14`-6", unless you land on your bonce
Am guessing with the blame culture we have now, the cardigan would sue the driver of truck for parking under there ffs.
The man wanted attention by kin ell did he get some.
Here’s an idea, why not have a pallet of cardboard boxes at every hato depot.
Then, when someone starts this kind of ■■■■ start assembling the things whilst its all going on on top of the bridge.
If its good enough for stuntmen it’s good enough for this kind of thing.
Muckaway, you obviously don’t seem to have to much empathy with ths bloke. I know this situation has inconvenienced a lot of people, the thing is we do not know the blokes circumstances…
could have just come back from a horrendous tour of Afghanistan
Wife might have grabbed kids and cleared off for good
one of his kids might have not long passed away
Still laughing?
People think mental illness is people in straight jackets banging their heads against the wall. What it’s mostly about is mums suffering from post-natal depression, people needing help for stress, alcohol and drug addiction, a husband or wife feeling lonely and very low after the death of their other half and receiving medication for depression. People feeling depressed for no obvious reason. A lot of people with learning disabilities also have mental health problems. It could be the effects of ■■■■■■ or physical abuse.
Mental illness is nearly as common as cancer. Something to think about.
