I saw a Lynch lowloader last Thursday, he’d mounted the high curb exiting the roundabout on the A43 to join the M40. Double drive with a four axle trailer, empty. Not sure what he did but he took out a sign post and axles 2 and 3 on the trailer looked a bit wobbly, his rear beacons were in the road too. …

Hi
I’m thinking about possibly looking for a flatbed operating company anywhere in the country really, but ideally it would be around Birmingham, but I would also consider Avonmouth area and South - East, as I would be willing to move anywhere for the right opportunity.
It would be good if such a company operated a variety of trailers I could pull, curtainsiders, fridges, containers…, but flatbed is what I’m especially interested in.
Would anyone be willing to throw some names in, where I could enquire about flatbed jobs?
Thanks
Lad I know has been with Hutchinson for about 6 months or so,really enjoying variety of work, said only down size is it can be a dirty old job, with winter to come.
Don’t think he’d done that type of work before, but as he said always someone willing to give advice
Thanks to all of you for your replies and ideas.
Yes, the job could be interesting, but surely it would also be dirty and involve working in all weather conditions, rain, snow, cold.
Something to think about.
Low loader work will keep you fit.Lumping heavy chains on and off machinery. It beats Rdc work.Sat for hours counting the dead flies.I would give King a shout in Avonmouth or Plantspeed.Milatary movements of tanks.or anything that needs shifting.
Water proof clothing and change of clothes or a good boiler suit for low loader work.
Glen Charles Harding does that type of work.Base Westbury Wiltshire. He lives in Frome Somerset.T/a Gch ltd.
Volvo Fh12’s in silver/ red markings.
