R.I.P Arthur,I didnt know him but I’ve met a few like him , not many of the old school left,my sympathies.

rip mate, always a great shame to lose a colleague esp. one who you are close to, we lost one early this year through the big c, he was another ‘arthur’ and is still sorely missed

sounds like a guy who makes us all proud of our profesion
Im sorry to hear about your friend. A trucker mate of mine died a couple of months ago, again from the big C. He want from a pain in his stomach to dead in 6 months. Makes you realise youve got to make the most of life while you can. Scary stuff.

i remeber a few years ago when at freightliner they put one of the lads of railside on traffic desk and he was a fantastic hit and he had ways of getting you to do late jobs and one’s you dont want to do.
one monday i came to work and heard the news that colin had a heart attack at a bbq over the weekend and died immediatley. his wife was 30 weeks pregnant and that passing really upset the whole yard for quite a while
