cupidstunt:
From a photo I’ve seen the truck looks like a recovery truck, not your normal everyday choice of truck to move containers.
I wonder if the “batteries wired in series” have something to do with recovery?
Could be fork lift truck batteries there wired. I wouldn’t think they were talking about every battery connected to each other.
roaduser66:
You have people on the protest thread slagging off a dead young woman for not paying enough tax, so you can take your fake outrage and stick it.
I don’t have ‘people’ anywhere…
I’m not outraged.
I feel your post was designed to upset people and in itself is pointless.

roaduser66:
Then we agree seeking to blame the victims of road violence is wrong, but your outrage is selective.
I don’t think you’re able to grasp or differentiate the difference between blame and shared responsibility pal.
And well done for sinking below the level you’re happy to criticise others for…
Wow. After all your soap box standings and your insults to everyone on the forum about not showing compassion towards dead cyclists and THIS is what you put on a thread about a driver who died?
You really are something else

You dont actually.
No ones slagging her off about not paying tax
Stop making stuff up
It’s about time roaduser66 was put on premod. Obviously a cyclist and not a lorry driver, only ever commenting on threads around cyclists, always defensive on their behalf, and condemning of lorry drivers. Now resulting in personal insults of not only tnuk members, but also the deceased driver from this incident. Very sad indeed

Needs kicking off, or ignoring at the very least, There is Low, then there is this subterranean turd!
I really feel for the driver and those he left behind. I can’t imagine the sheer terror of going over a bridge, and knowing for a couple of seconds that you’re 99.9% likely to die, horribly, and all because one has to earn a crust.

I believe in freedom of speech no matter how much of a moron I think someone is, or how blinkered and hypocritical their views. I hate censorship and the “you cant say something unless everyone else deems it acceptable” way the world has become but I think in this case premod is needed for this idiot.
To come out with a personal, insult laden attack on a guy who dies just doing his job is lower than low. Especially when he is so scathing with his insults of us as lorry drivers because we dare to mention the problems we see cyclists cause and then comes out with that post.
The fact the chairman of a major cycling organisation had to email Rikki and distance himself from RU66 and his comments a few months ago shows that even cycling groups (most of whom are decent to be fair) dont want to be associated with him yet we give him a platform to say things like that?
I’ve always had the feeling that there are and have been posters on here who have only ever looked into one mirror - and that’s in their bathroom.
Nothing to do with our profession in any shape or form and maybe don’t even have a cat B licence.
But there’s nothing to stop them coming on here (or anywhere else) and trolling to their hearts content.
There has to be a line drawn - free speech is OK but not at the expense of basic manners and decency.
It’s grossly offensive and completely disrepectful of the deceased and their close ones, as I have said once before recently about (another?) poster re the Berlin tragedy.
