They’ve got it hooked up to the truck wash roller housing.

I loved driving those Foden 4000 series. I could get comfortable straight away in one and I don’t think I ever adjusted the steering column. To be fair I liked the 3000 series too, it was just the ■■■■ poor legroom for your left leg that was a big flaw. And the fast idling ■■■■■■■ 275 which allowed you to play tunes when getting out of neutral.
I liked those storage nets that were fixed to the back wall of the cab, funny how the smallest things are greatly appreciated.

Hmm I have to disagree here ,bloody awful heaps ,stiff gear cables ,big gaps round the doors, not a patch on a Erf E or Ec series of the same era .
The only ones I ever drove that had trouble with draughty drivers’ doors were the last S106 and 108 cabs. I had an S reg that was sorted with some draught excluder tape and my Dad had a V reg that was worse. He sorted his in the same way but one of the air horns used to vibrate and make a howling noise in a headwind. He fixed that by tying a carrier bag around it until it was removed and repaired. Firm didn’t think the bodged look suited their image.
