Although it has a hint of Ralph Davis about it could it be an ex Kammac motor as driven by the Morgans?

Another one with a local reg number, where is Gazzer when you need the lowdown ? Buzzer

VHO 103R was run by Dave Corbin of Wimborne in the early 80s on bulk scrap driven by Graham Gillingham. Not sure if it was originally a motor of Furnells of Poole. Don’t know what happened to it when Corbin got rid of it but I believe it sold for a lot of money at auction, possibly the Derek Cooper sale. Had a few trips in that to Sheerness as a teenager!

I think that Andy Woolston freight may have had that.

mikey1964: That F12 supplied by Prince’s of Southampton on a Southampton “CR” plate.

Don’t pick on me Buzzer…Woolston Freight (or didn’t they have a sister Co?) could be correct.

The 88 of the 290 campaign era, I wonder if Harvey knows. I’ll prompt him. I don’t know the name Corbin from my time at Prince’s. May have been serviced by Dorchester Transport if it was based down there. PS: “HO” is a Hampshire reg. series.

So close plus Andy’s was a pusher not a tag

“Gazzer”, thanks. My memory isn’t what it was but do remember the Kammac Volvo’s always seemed a bit blinged with the extra marker lights etc hence my wrong guess.

Hi all, Gazzer are you sure that is Ian Lawson looks more like Mr Mathews to me. :sunglasses:

Jimmer trust you and yours OK, you took me back with that picture of Ian’s F88 as I remember seeing him driving it in the old ferry terminal in Southampton docks, also it was when a young man called Phil Garrett started in the freight office and that is many moons ago, he is retired now but pops into Tracy Island every now and then, cheers Buzzer.

Harvey remembers the name Corbin but can’t tie a truck to him.
He can’t place the F12.
Is it me or do you also have difficulty getting the website to fire up each time?

Here is an ASR subbie with a Tyrer trailer, may have been on here before but I snagged this of FB. Who owned it at the time i couldn’t say.

Bob Cartwrights scania

Gazzer, did Mark Venus own or drive the brown f12 at some point. :sunglasses:

I cant say he did or not Kev. He may have before buying his own.
I’m sure it was a Scotsman who bought it originally. You’d have to look at the ASR thread for further details, maybe furnished by Scattercash. There is a photo of his son Ollie washing the truck in Rawlings yard ( I had the photo but my hard drive developed a bad sector and a swathe of photos have gone).

Jock did drive it but there was a young black haired lad who drove it too (not Pretty Boy b4 he lost his hair LOL).

Not sure of the Henry Tyrer tie up.
