Well that’s it now, don’t think I will be able to bring myself to look in or post on this thread ever again, offended Buzzer.
PS. At least I still have my stunning good looks and witty charm after all these years.

Another Eurohaul photo…the sister of the 88 i drove for Mick Hennesy SCR 456N
Hi Tone,
Keith Ozard brought from Eurohaul, and when he packed up I brought it off him one Saturday morning and Angie and I shipped out to Michelin Clermont Ferrand with 2 loads it was August and on close down but arrangements had been made for a crew to come in at 6am to unload,we got there the previous evening and parked on the bays,we both slept in the Magirus, the lads came in early next morning and banged the cab of the Volvo, when I opened the curtains on the Maggie they were very upset as they thought it was 2 male drivers sleeping together But calmed down when Angela appeared beside me !!
We then went empty to Italy and loaded 2 machines for Pirelli for the West Quay road site.
Here are a couple of photo’s of her in Keith’s colours and one in Horry’s playground after we had her resprayed, this must be well over 30 years ago !! About the time of your 1st retirement party
I’ll pick you up one day next week and we’ll go and see Charlie if you are both available, and anyone else who fancies a day out.
Regards
Richard

Jimski:
Hi Richard think you know this motor, I bought the pics at the Gaydon truck show.
Hi Jim,
Hope you and Jackie are well, congatulations on your prize at Gaydon well deserved.
You are right about EAA 455 S supplied new by Princes to Aerosol Research and Development.( A.R.D.) in Portsmouth,I think it was one of the last F89’s. I brought it off them ( £1500) !! when they took delivery of a new F12 Globetrotter. I saw Mike who drove it for most of it’s life on the ferry back from Le Havre a few months ago,he is now an owner driver for Freight Transport living in France,he kept it immaculate.
After running it for a few years Ian Rycroft (R.I.P.) dropped into the yard and persuaded me to sell it to him,I had one of his old F12 Globetrotters later, RMU 981 Y.
He put it in to Princes and they completely rebuilt it including a new cab ! He then sent it out to Bosnia for a contract he had, when he had finished with it a chap in Ringwood brought it to pull his vintage boat all over Europe,I think he still owns it.
Regards
Richard
Not the best of LDD but this does go via Pontarlier and then over to Gondo. A lot missing but would bring some familiar places back into the brain!

Hi again to all. I don’t seem to get on here so much nowadays as I suppose my interest is more in the distant past and there don’t seem too many of us out there. Maybe Perhaps Charlie, Buzzer or one of the other older members can shed some light on what I’m about to mention.
There was some mention about a Krupp cabbed Atkinson (light blue) in or around Southampton in the early days and someone related it to Wally Hawkins (R.I.P). Although I remember seeing it on a few occasions (mainly in Albert Road lorry park) which was long before the Air Museum, I don’t ever remember Wally driving that motor. Who did it belong to ■■ I personally haven’t a clue and I never ever saw it on any Ferry out of Southampton.
The other mystery is can anyone remember (mid to late 60’s) Two light metallic blue, bull nosed Mercedes units. They belonged to a young chap called Ian McLean who had moved to Southampton from the East End of London. I did not really know him but was told that in London, mixed with some fairly questionable characters. Called himself “Intercontinental Trucking Ltd”., or something of that nature and never lasted very long. Any recollection of the afore mentioned ■■? I would be very grateful for any information. Regards, Nobby.
Hi Nobby, hope you,re well mate.
That Atkinson you mentioned, i remember someone putting a photo of it on here.
I dont know anything about it and as for the bull nosed Mercs they were before my time.
I was a Fareham lad and didn,t start working out of Southampton til the very early 70,s.
Nice one Johnnie, thanks for that mate…definitely Soton on the door but cant make out the name…
Good find anyway…hope you,re keeping well.
Just had a closer look…its Intercontinental Trucking Services i reckon.

Well spotted Tony and thanks to Sammy for the photo. That is a '71 K reg unit so must be known to somebody on here. Looks like it was one of Ian McLeans motors which means that he had more than the two Mercs. Although I had seen this Krupp on a few occasions it was never signwritten at those times. The chap who took the photo may even know something of the elusive Mr. McLean■■?
Regards, Nobby.
