Llandudno Transport Festival

Just arrived back home after a great weekend at Llandudno. Quite a few vehicles I hadn’t seen before and met a few new “faces” as well.
At last I caught up with 3300john. Many thanks to him and his lovely wife for the brew and interesting conversation.
Here’s a few of the photos I managed to take. Sorry if they’ve appeared on TN before but anything interesting is worth a second airing.
First pic is just to keep cwm happy!

And a few more…

More to come in the next few days. I caught some of the vehicles when they went on a road run on Sunday evening. My first location was halfway up a grassy bank but after almost slipping under the wheels of an Atki I moved to the Rest & Be Thankful. Not such good photos but at least I’m still alive!

Dan Punchard:
No Pete i was too late sending my form back but i am going to try the Newark show on may 24th 25th ,anyone been ? i think its called the north road transport show ?

A good show, it’s the AEC Society annual rally, other makes there too, I’ll be there with my Albion as usual.
Bernard

A few more. If anyone’s bored please feel free to stop me.

And I’d really like to know who owned the LAD Dodge when new.

K-R Walsh Brothers were out in force including the recently-restored Jensen featured on this site.

HOWEVER!..

It happens to the best of us!

Hiya .it was only a fan belt job on the Jensen, the lads had found a new belt on a stall, it wasn’t a brake down
it was running maintenance. they’ve made a good job of the Jensen nice to see one again
John

I remember a spot of “running maintenance” back in the 1960s.Our local coach operator took the local youth club on a day trip to Porthcawl. Being at his busiest time of year and the Bedford OB needing a change of gearbox, he took the replacement box with him in the boot. On arrival at our seaside destination, the gearbox was changed ready for the homeward journey. Can’t imagine that sort of thing happening nowadays.

A few more…

And even more…

It would be interesting to know who owns this one.

And yet more…

Cracking pics ROF,went on the saturday but forgot camera, dont matter as we got a professional on job now,ta,Pete ps keep em coming!

Thank you so much for the kind remarks, Pete. I’m still dithering about whether folks are fed up with all these photos or whether they should be posted a) for those who enjoy seeing older vehicles being restored and used and b) as a sort of historical record should someone need to see a photo sometime in the future.
Anyway, I’ll press on with a few more…

Hang on a minute- got to move the whiskey glass off the computer!..

And I must confess that if any of the pics are any good it’ll be down to the decent little camera, not the cameraperson!

Cracking pics ROF,nowt on telly anyway!!,ta,Pete

Evening all, ROF, following a day cutting down “offending” trees, grubbing out the root structures…bashing myself constantly on the head…(where there is no sense, no feeling)…etc…Well , I think that your pictures are great, and I really enjoy looking at them…but it makes me feel really ancient…I consider a lot of these, “current” sort of vehicles…

Maybe I shall seek solace in the Bollinger…

But many thanks indeed.

Cheerio for now.

One thing i’ve noticed Saviem is that ROF has not put any pics of your neighbours leyland badger or his ERF m series!,ta,Pete
