Living the dream life

Harry Monk:
I used to play golf on a Saturday morning but I gave it up.

I could never get the ball to go under that windmill.

 good one Harry.

I’ll see your ā€œMonday to Friday with the weekend offā€, and raise you ā€œfour days off every weekā€

I get 3 off a week,.(sometimes 3 and a half depending what time I get back on Sat) so basically part Sat,.all day Sun, Mon and Tues at home.

Mon and Tues off …sometimes used to recover after a heavy .Sunday,.and/or to psyche myself up into starting back Wed am.
Suits me fine :sunglasses: … after spending most of my time away from home in the past.

If my uncles 30+ years of tramping is to go by then the reality is come home, eat, sleep Infront of the telly and repeat

When I got home from a week away tramping I always found a list of jobs that needed doing on top of the normal cut the grass / wash the car , I wouldn’t say I didn’t sit down but that was normally for a morning coffee / dinner
If anything I’m more like your uncle now I’m on days , shower / tea then mrs wakes me up as time for bed , though there are days like today where I finished 12.30 so had hair cut / cleaned bathroom ( mrs lists again ) , got some shopping ( her list ) & did some jobs on car
I prefer days ( more like nights , my tea / shower / bed but I’m x10 more tired than I was tramping , normally goto bed 19.30 get up 11.30 /12.00 ,
Be nice to be mon - fri ( can’t do as need fri for doctors / hospital) , start 6 am , do 8/9 hrs , but I’ve not got long enough left to bother changing jobs , and the wages are shocking on those type of jobs
