Nice one vwvanman0! The interior shot is interesting too. The gearlever is a Eaton Twin-splitter one at first glance, but didn’t some of the later Fuller 13-speed Road-Ranger 'boxes share the same stick?

[/quote]Yes, our two 1996 Foden 3000 series 13 speeder 'boxes had that same lever.
Pete.
Hi,
Interesting 1991,820.000 km, looks like a fat Cat engine, so probably 13 speed. Seems to be in good condition. May be restored? the whole outfit seems to be repainted. The backend lighting set looks non original US style. From the cab pictures, it is equiped with trailer brake like most EU truck of the day, but not standard on Foden chassis. There is a odd long switch above the right hand of the steeringwheel. That might be a 3 stage Jake switch, I have not seen before.
It is registered in Ahaus (DE) which is a small town very close to the Dutch border at Enschede. And next door to Legden where it sits at the moment. Since Wobbe has no record of exports to Germany in the nineties, it might be imported recently into Germany. Because of the driveline it might be of Swiss or French origin.
very interesting, unfortunatly I have no cash or employ for it.
regards
Rolf

Ah! That makes sense. All Friderici’s Fodens were Cat-powered with 13-sp Fuller 'boxes, I understand.

Looks to have a Telma retarder

That seems a better explanation, indeed. The Telma retarder in those days was very popular in the French speaking parts of the Alps.
This Foden must have been quite a machine in it’s days
