Donā€™t know how I missed this thread.
Dave Telford  thereā€™s a name from the past,
I can remember him for the 70s when my late father done a bit of subbie work for Pan Express when on for Ashton international, Then in the Early Nineties I worked out of the same yard in Colnbrook sometimes borrowed one of the trucks for a ā€œjust nip jobā€ Dave ran the Job then. Are Pans and or Dave still on the go ?

The first time I really got to know Dave I had tipped in Baghdad finished quite late and decided to get out of the city to beat the traffic in the morning so I parked up at the brick fields just outside Baghdad late that night, having a good sleep when there was a bang on the door, kettles on,you staying there all day, so out of bed I get with my mug and there is Dave with the kettle on.Usual greetings etc. etc.tea drunk Dave says you fancy doing a bit today, yes ok I say where do you want to go to? Ankara says Dave, its not just down the road, its a fā€¦g long way down the road, after several stops for tea we made it through to the telex in Ankara,as sometimes something happens,we became good friends and by the time we got to the Londra in Istanbul for a Effes or two we had discovered common interests and friends.Unfortunately we went seperate ways after the M/East went quiet but last I heard he was T/M in the office at Pans still in Colnbrook.
I shall finish the last part of the above story with further exploits with Dave soon
