What about:-

hayday:
few more including Anglo Overseas, Containerflow and a computer software operation based at Station House in Altrincham along with most of its UK ops in the late 70’s - 80’s and does anyone remember a service they had / maybe aquired in the 70’s called Europa Express? (Sorry but I can’t get my head around this Dubai Ports thing)
The computer software operation (GTS - used by BOC Distribution Services and still in use at Gist at least in 2010, by the looks of the screens) started life as Pandoro’s own, in-house operating system, c.1977. Their Computer Manager (it wasn’t called IT then!) moved to work at Altrincham to develop a commercial version. Station House was the HQ for Ferrymasters, and the official registered address for Pandoro.

I thought there was a Pandoro link in the computer systems. Whilst working in the garage for Ferrymasters in the early 80’s, I recall visiting Station House to collect or deliver some old archived binders and recall seeing a few of the Pandoro ops people in there (IIRC from Fleetwood.) Fast forwarding to the early 90’s and whilst at GL Baker, as part of its BOC group development, I remember being sent down to Aldershot for computer familiarisation and was introduced to the new P&O GTS system - which I’d actually had a gander at about 10 years earlier! Good times and great to hear they’re still using it. I went past Station House a couple of weeks ago and it looks like it’s empty, sadly along with most of Alty’s high street
