Lady Michelle.

irish lorries:
Would it of been a dixon volvo by any chance

I don’t think it was even Irish.
I was driving along somewhere, no idea where now, saw Bertie n thought "BERTIE :sunglasses: - oh, no it isn’t, wrong company :frowning: ". By then he was past me going in the opposite direction.

There are loads if Bertie’s around now! Ive even been asked to sign two recently! As for the 143! No, Im not a rose tinted specs man, I like my modern vehicles. Nice as it is for a spin now and again I could do twice as many hours in my Volvo as the 143 and I’d still feel better for it. Too many people haven’t driven the old timers in years so just remember them as they were, trust me get into them now with a modern lorry to compare against and you’ll be amazed how far we’ve come.

Aint that the truth, at our once a decade visit to Truckfest this year, Mrs Snax saw an F7, at first thought it was a G290 Renault which shared the same cab. When she was girlfriend Snax, She spent a week away with Me, in the one that I was tramping in at the time, nowadays you’d be hard pushed to find someone who’d use it for day work let alone tramping. Even the F10/12’s of which I drove several where actually quite small inside in comparison to what we expect to use nowadays.

Only problem with most modern trucks, is the passenger seat.
Those light weight, space saving, jump seats are absolutely rubbish as a seat.
Not a problem for the driver, but if your partner or a mate come along for a trip …

Both 143s that I drove had exactly the same passenger seat as the drivers, except it was on a track. You could move it right to the back of your cab.

Agree, the turboliner I drove had exactly the same seat both sides, except the passenger seat had armrests, very comfy to rest in at night

Good point, although the good ship Michelle has a fully adjustable air suspended leather passenger seat  But you’ve got a point, its a very long time since I drove a truck with a proper passenger seat

Not as far as I know. Donegal is a bit out of the way for us. I believe some of ours ar at Full Of The Pipe in Cavan this weekend, but not me as I double booked.

Dont think it does now, its getting on. The fact is the majority of our work is UK.

So do you not get over the water like you used to luke?

I stillget over a fair bit. Did two Germanys last week and a Prague the week before. Our work has been mostly UK for a good few years now, its just that I don’t video that as most dont want to see it!

We need more Videos! I’m sure Bertie will have some interesting things to say about British Road users

Heres a UK vid from a couple of years ago, we do a lot of this multidrop meat work youtube.com/watch?v=W4kRMJnn1eE

I shall take doing another one under consideration. Thanks for kind comments peeps

The UK one is still good viewing you should do more Luke

That was me flashing you m42 at 12.30 today

Seggons:
As one of your many subscribers Luke I mainly watch the videos for what you bring to them. While the abroad stuff is great it isn’t a must for me as I think you could “talk up” a rainy day in England and it would still be interesting viewing. I’m hoping to one day create videos that are a mix between your style and DarkThoughtsWithin.

+1 but not a fan of darkthoughtswithin but would love to see luke and ned kelly do a video together.

I vote for a UK video as well. Looking forward to the next instalment. :grimacing:
