Hey Moc,look up this page a bit…the yellow and green Scania 141sBubbs,
Thanks for that Bubbs ,i had no idea that was the same firm,i thought they was from Marden, maybe they moved
Fancied a change of scenery for a while so looked up an old girlfriend & moved down to Rochester for a bit, went on for Swain’s for a while, this was my horse!
After I’d dropped the tank trailer off, I ran bob-tail up to somewhere in Dorset to pick this flat up, can’t remember where now, then loaded this load of blocks & delivered them to a builders merchants in London.

This was Gordon Smith who was from Marden, then Coxheath (See pics posted earlier of 2 x 141s pulling for Castle Services).
He ran this and an F88, then bought 2 x 141s and a new 143. He ended up trading in the 143 and buying 2 x 220 36 Ivecos!! He kept a 141 which was in his green/yellow colour scheme.

Gordon was an “old school” driver and was good enough to teach me to drive a truck, letting me lose with his 141 on L plates!!
After I`d gained some experience he bought another 141 which he gave to me doing traction out of Ramsgate and I ended up with his new 143 after he decided he prefered the 141!! Unfortunately he suffered from a stroke and died in the late 90s.
