Big clampdown on speeding trucks now due to recent events on the A9, especially on single carriageway sections. Watch out for a black Mondeo SN07 KTP, unmarked police car.

Nice spot, seems the 59 plate Focus vanished about 3 months ago for some reason.
R.I.P Drivers
It was shut again for several hours on Saturday near Pitlochry, a car ran into a truck parked in a layby, female car driver died.

I’m on it every day, the way a couple of motors in particular are flying past everything on stretches of sc just now it won’t be long before there is another big shunt hitting the headlines, the fatal accident that started the thread involved one of my colleagues, a waste of two lives for the sake of filling shop shelves and two sets of families affected.

it wasnt involved in an accident on the A9 was it?
another one…
A man has been killed in a crash which has completely closed the main A9 road to and from the Highlands
Got stuck in that going southbound lastnight, 3 hours i was there so probably about 5 hours for the folks at the front of the queue.
There was also a closure early in the morning yesterday due to an overturned lorry.
The overturned unit was being dragged past Bankfoot around 2pm, radio reports were a bit vague about the closure as they said between Pitlochry and Dalwhinnie.
As for the later accident, I left Inverness and got turned back by the office just 20 minutes after starting out, ran down the A82, finally made it back just after midnight. Still not sure where it happened as the radio reports said Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Calvine as the scene.
nah the overturned unit was draggged around perth at 1pm, as for the dunkeld accident, it was between dunkeld and ballinluig…you know the section thats windy. road reopened about 22:40 last night
and apparently theres been another accident on the a9 today. FUF
The unit I saw was a white scanny, it hit the dirty side of the overturned motor apparently. a driver from that firm does a bit for us in a warehouse at weekends and was giving me the lowdown. Tayside scammer van was coming down the hill at Bankfoot just in front of the wrecker.
As for the other accident, that’s a second fatal in the area in the last two (three?) weeks, car into the back of a truck in a layby the other Saturday closed it for quite a while.
ahh yea that unit was comin down about 2, was the overturned rigid at 1.
The roadneeds sorted like now, instead of all this messing about.
I’m not very familiar with the A9 - ridden it on the bike in the past but don’t get up there when in truck.
Sounds horrendous though - it’s high time money was spent on this instead of so many of the other pointless things the government thinks is so important.
