where you once parked in merthyr was turned into a new law court complex & a new civic centre for merthy tydfil corporation,the pub you refer to was probably called the lamb,all of that area was knocked down and redeveloped in the last twenty five years or so. at the time you parked there you would have seen the bus station opposite. hope this has helped you.

THE DRIVER WHO LOST THAT LOAD OF CABLE WAS A GUY CALLED DICKY SMITH AND DRUMS OF CABLE FROM BICC.

Cheers graham i was going to visit South Wales this year in my motorhome and look up some old friends and places.It appeares that if i go to Merthyr i may be lost as its changed so much since the 70s

the brickworks where you loaded in 1979 is basically on the route of the A470 it actually runs through the edge of the old works,all the land was flattened a few years ago and there was big promises of a big retail park and leisure complexes but nowt so far.
