JF Pearce Transport Ltd Somerset

It’s £39k…
Hence why I ask…
Must be gross… Surly…
To be honest, It’s still bloody good money if that is gross.

That figure is your gross pay but it also includes your night out money. It all depends on what type of work your doing, where you’re going, etc. but it’s very easily achievable.

Assuming your paid on mileage that figure is easily achievable with the distance work that Pearce’s do. I work for Foleys and when we were doing the Cornwall runs we were taking home around £700 a week inc nights out.

Ten new roll-along cranes and ten new lorries coming in March, as per their website. Sounds like they are cracking on!!

They have the power station contract for Hinkley Point.

Mums bloke runs in there for Hanson… Sounds like a red tape binding job. Can’t ■■■■ in a cross wind! Lucrative though so a lot of work to be had, I should think.

Do we■■?

News to me but I’ll let the local boys worry about that!

Are the new roll-along cranes brand new or just new to the company?
If they are brand new then they must be a huge cost.
Wouldn’t it be cheaper to have new center mounted cranes or is there some advantage on having roll-along instead of fixed?

Not sure, seen some on the road that look new, could be recons I suppose?

Brand new Montracon trailers with recon roller cranes by the looks of the ones Ive seen.

I was working with some eight wheeler drivers from MTS tanking recently who reckoned they were on about 80 to 100k last year so 39k doesn’t look great

Spot on. We’ve got a load of ex Marshalls trailers in the yard. The cranes are removed and reconditioned and then put on new trailers.

Stevio

I have the only centre mount crane on the fleet. The only advantage of a rollalong crane that I can see is that you can get more Durox and Thermalite blocks on it! Rollalong cranes can also tip off the rear of the trailer whereas my centre mount won’t, but I have a better reach!
