I remember plenty of hash, but can’t remember doing any tags. Graffiti wasn’t my thing.
This twitter thing, how much does it cost, am I right in thinking that it uses inernet data on your phone, how much would it use, say 30 mins a day, or is that to simplistic. Just got a Blackberry which has some internet data on the contract (vodafone), so could now join the twit fest, but Iam concerned about running up extra on my bill

I don’t use twitter / witter either, but I’ll have a go at translating for you .
If you put a # (hash) symbol in front of a name / sentence / etc, it then becomes a hash tag. eg #Simon = hash tag Simon.
A hash tagged word is a word you can search for in internet pages that use tagging, like witter.
The more a tag is searched for, the higher priority it gets.
If you use social networking pages at all, you might notice you can use ‘tags’ on photographs you upload. So for eg, you could upload a photo of a Scania tractor unit pulling an sdc flat trailer with a nice job of roping and sheeting done on the load.
You could then ‘tag’ that photo with - Scania, sdc, truck, trailer, roping & sheeting.
Anyone who wants to see photos of Scania trucks can do a search for #Scania (hash tag Scania) #trucks (hash tag trucks) and your photo will be on the list they get.
The more hash tags they add to their search, the shorter the list of photos will become.
