The old EC12 yard shunter, looking a bit rough but still fires up first time, But of course those RRs were allways good starters even in the coldest conditions, Regards Larry.

The evening sun shines as a J. & R. Adams` E.R.F. tractor unit arrives at the Thirsk Truck Gathering , last weekend.

There was 3 of theirs at Barnard Castle last weekend Lawrence,their new DAF looked nice but it was a bit basic inside no radio and rubber mats apparently and it was odd not seeing the ERF it’s been such a regular site at Truck shows.

Aye our Nigel said Richie one of the fitters was taking one of the new DAFs, There is four altogether, Of course they a being signwriten at present, Regards Larry.

The one he had there was on trade plates I think,the lad did say they had more of them going on the road

That’s a very very smart looking unit Larry keep the photographs coming , Adams must have good results from their other DAFs to purchase these in preference to the usual MANs / Merc`s .?

Aye they had an office in Todd Street nr Victoria Railway Station, A chap called Harry Cullins was the transport manager in those good old days , When this photo was taken the driver was Davy Solomons from Penshaw who worked for the Adams,s for a very long time, When this AEC was new the driver was called Benny ?, who sadley lost his life in a RTA, Regards Larry.
