Run the motor when using micro or elecy cooker, the use a lot of juice.
Having a battery guard is also a good idea, not much more ontop of inverter and cooker.
A lot of our guys have linked up the wires that go to the power source to an old andersson cable and use that to provide power to the inverter. I have no idea how the connect it up full time though without drilling holes in the truck. I only use a 150w inverter so mine runs perfectly happily off the 24v socket on the dash.
I have a question though. I charge my laptop and my tablet off my inverter. Could I put a multi block in and charge both at the same time or am I best to keep it down to one at a time.

I use a 150w to charge my phone , and it runs my tv and aerial with a double plug no problem, it does get warm but I’ve fell asleep with it left on for a few hours and no problems

If your inverter has overload protection try it, inverter will let you know id it is unhappy.
It depends a bit on the lappy and how flat it is, i use a 300 watt and to charge flatt lappy you can hear the inverter working hard.
