I stand corrected about that …it was just a thought …4 in line hated them especially with a “■■■■■■■” high load of jute products …,i seem to remember there were a few ended up on their ribs over the years …when Kemps of Leslie were taken over …Allison,s inherited a few short single axle-ed trailers with the axle right on the backend did,nt like them either !!!.. If it helps the Dundee depot was managed by Wullie Peddie and Archie Murray ( he went on to Tayfreight when Allisons closed) the Scottish traffic was managed by Jim Dickson The Dundee yard was supervised by big Jim Simpson a great man who taught me a lot about Road haulage and how to sort out different kinds of loads … Gordon Hermiston went from Dundee office to Midland motors Nottingham … Tayfreight was just another Allison …really all the lads were Ex drivers …these were great days sometimes really hard but great never the less …Drivers not chauffeurs… if I think of any other info I,ll post
