Industrial estate fines

The parasites really boil my p%ss. You see cars with cosmetic damage being recovered when they could be driven and speed cameras in villages where there are no shops so no pedestrians .

Britain has now become a country of parasites.
A few do the real work that keeps the country afloat but living off the back of this minority are hordes and hordes of bloodsuckers.
Councils,parking “companies”, industrial estate “agents”,speed vans,motorway services,highways agencies,toll roads,bridges and tunnels,“litter” officers,speed “awareness” courses, 118 118 (if these SOBs connect your call its £4.25 a minute) WTF!
The list just goes on and on and its time the working minority started to fight back.
The way its going you wont be paid at the end of the week your money will just be paid into the parasite fund to keep these low lifes in the manner they are accustomed to.
Every time you beat these vampires its just one small victory for the working man.
And unless we fight back you just know that these ■■■■■■■ will multiply.

I’m with Bking on this one too… getting me super glue tomorrow as well as a larger dust bin.

Simple fix. Just like all hauliers are obliged to have parking places to get trucks and trailers on their license simply apply the same rule to industrial and trading estate owners.
No planning permission until they provide a suitable number of facilities in relation to their size.

Likewise for existing estates, oblige them to put in proper parking and other facilities in relation to their size or they get closed down.

Since the councils clearly know of such solutions one can only assume Brussles are blocking it or could it be “The Russians” :open_mouth:■■

Given that most European countries dont have this problem, it aint Brussels.
Councils get local jobs, and companies that pay business rates into their area, so gaining. They don`t want to spend on maintaining park and toilet block or similar for over-nighting trucks. Not helped by “nimbyism” and the high price of land.

Youre probably right its the Russians: if they didn`t buy houses in Park Lane, a field in the West Midlands would cost less!

If a so called private est has this [zb] it can only be private if there is a barrier or some body stopping you from entering the place,if not it must be public land

No it’s private land where by vehicles may enter the said land to conduct business ie delivering and as such being open comes under the road traffic act.

Go to ransomes and try that as a defence, last firm just lost there case,.

Only way to go is pull up or onto the company premises were your delivering, .

Truckwriter:
Commercial Motor is looking to publish a list of industrial and trading estates around the country that are fining drivers/issuing trespass notices after they parked up for very short periods of time.

Ransomes Park in Ipswich is one, and we have been told about incidents on the Spectrum West Estate in Maidstone and on the Liverpool International Business Park.

If you/your company has received a trespass notice or fine at any industrial estate then either post it below or pm me and we can help warn readers.

Thank you very much.

I was on Magna park Lutterworth last week. Very poor signage all round. I had to stop to consult google earth even though no parking allowed anywhere. I did not see any signs indicating I was on a private site or explanation of any penalty charges. These sites need boycotting. What are you supposed to do if you get lost? In my case the sat nav was way out

I gave up going into any City a few years back…I got a parking ticket on my motorcycle, ruined a handgrip that they stuck it to :imp:

I decided that I would never venture into a City and stop, I have done all my shopping on line in the UK, I have no compulsion to read signage when I arrive somewhere, I just want to get on with my business…When I am in Portugal I can do as I please, there are no silly parking regulations, no one is trying to raise revenue from you, you are left alone…Hell, I can park my motorhome for a couple of weeks next to a stunning lake in the mountains and they don`t charge me a bean…The UK really is a hell hole of parasites.

The real question we should be asking ourselves is
Why do we allow these ■■■■■■■■ to get away with this extortion?
What gives these scum the right to take away your money?
At the end of the day they amount to nothing.
Just tell them to ■■■■ off and do your worst.
Stand up and be counted.

I can only see it getting worse. There seems to be a proposal going around parliament and the media to make trespassing on private land into a criminal offence, it’s currently just a civil matter

I was stopped outside a collection point for exactly 1min 20 seconds (confirmed by tracker) whilst asking where I was needed for my collection, despite this and being there for legitimate reason my appeal was ignored and the company have a £100 fine to pay.

How on earth were you spotted? Surely they don’t have cameras that can determine or judge such a small stop as that as illegal parking. Have they very recently installed cameras, or is there some small man with small man syndrome sitting in a wooden box casting a beady eye over every passing vehicle?

Also, I’ve often pulled out of Coke and parked up (in the wee hours) for a 30 min break up that road near O’doherty’s yard, always without problem.

On another note, they’ve put double yellows in around Coke Wakefield now. That road was always handy for a break ready for the return leg. Last night the rebel in me almost stopped on them for a 30 min break, but thought better of it in case there are cameras and I received a fine.

We are all talking about “fines” and being “fined” no private company can issue fines, they can try their luck with Penalty Charge Notices though.

The problem is, companies pay them without question before anyone inc the driver can do anything about them

They are not fines, it’s technically an invoice, a fine is for breaking the law, when you drive onto these places you’ve accepted their terms of business.

Not sure why anyone is interested in the slightest.

When I first started driving I worried about things like this.

Then I had a realisation. I’m an agency driver and I’m paid before these fines hit the floor in the post. So I simply don’t worry about them. If I’m asked at a later date I deny all knowledge.

If they won’t have me back another company will. It is nothing more than a business expense for the company I’m driving for.

one of the problems is the council allows all these new estates to be built then put up no parkings signs all over.but do not think that it be a good idea to add a parking area for trucks to use while waiting to tip at certain times.they want us to turn up tip and go asap once empty.the job does nt work like this and never will do.tiem we all started sending emails to councils as why they grant these new estates but ban parking why not leave a plot so that we can park up before or after charage us a small amount payable on a national account which is picked up by camera when u leave after say 3hrs free parking.but as always they never reply to emails or just come up with lame excuses.
