Does it matter if an untruth was widely quoted and repeated? I think, Yes it is important. If you dont think truth and honesty are important then maybe you would like to say so, and then we can read all future posts from you with that in mind. If Ive misread your post please explain what you did mean.
Strangely enough, the result isn’t legally binding. Ca-moron could have rejected the results and opened it up for debate in the house of commons.
Could you imagine the civil unrest if he did that?
Yeah, but only by half the country!!!
I heard the head of the EU in an interview earlier. He said, “this won’t be an amicable divorce, but it wasn’t a great relationship in the first place”.
Anyone having doubts about their leave vote should listen to that interview.
And the same could be said about anyone having doubts about their remain vote

It’s amazing how many people are swayed by the media and are then allowed to vote. Yes there’s a lot of political BS to cut through and it can be confusing but I know of people who went to the ballot box and did eenie meenie miny mo to decide which box.
That sort of attitude can have real consequences.
Did Farage actually explicitly say the £350m would be spent on the NHS? Or was it the official leave campaign? As far as i know Farage wasnt part of the official leave group.
Its about time the remain side stop whinging and get over it. Thats what they would have been saying if it was the brexit side moaning.
Thre remain camp were predicted to win by the same result leave won with. Remain where happy to call it a win when they thaught they had it. So shut up, get over it an start making a go of this lifetime oppertunity.
Looks, like only, very slowly, now, we are starting to get facts, from the Brexit campaign, pity, the masses are being told the truth after votes have been cast.

Leading leave campaigners are coming under fire after appearing to row back on key pledges made during the EU referendum campaign, less than 24 hours after the UK voted for Brexit.
The latest focus is on immigration after the Tory MEP Daniel Hannan told the BBC: “Frankly, if people watching think that they have voted and there is now going to be zero immigration from the EU, they are going to be disappointed.”
Here’s some reaction to that:

Daniel Hannan has the most bare faced cheek I’ve seen in a politician: he knew before Thursday how his imigration promise was being heard

With Nigel Farage dismissing Leave’s NHS pledge and Dan Hannan saying immigration won’t fall, Britain realises it’s voted for bendy bananas.

The media are using farage as a scapegoat because they lost, and I’m not a ukip supporter but he isn’t even an MP never mind has the power to spend the countries budget ffs
To be fair he is an MEP and hopefully they’ll mostly be having a good laugh in the European parliament before they pack up and walk away from the place for good.
Farage has already made his “farewell speech” I thought…
Listening to 5 Live this morning, I was amazed at the pomposity, and arrogance of those saying that the Brexit voters had not ‘‘thought things through’’ and did not fully understand the implications,… how ■■■■ patronising eh?
Some were calling for another referendum until the ‘right’ verdict came up. I reckon it’s them who have not ‘‘thought through’’ how democracy actually works. it is not keep voting on the same issues until they get the result that THEY want.

This has unfortunately been a bad tempered shouting match, with not enough informed debate. Personally, Im disappointed in the result, but accept its now time to just shut up and get on with it. Both sides were, IMHO, guilty of hyperbole or worse, and Im afraid were now going to get a very rough time before any politician will be trusted. well I didnt much trust any of em anyway. I dont think its time to “man the barricades” and have a revolution, I think it`s time for a tea break.

It’s ironic that undemocratic people and organisations, cry for democracy, to reverse democracy Remainers are walking double negatives.
And as for the youth moaning, do they actually realise nobody under the age of 59 has ever had a say on it I’ve heard all sorts. One said on lbc nobody over 50 should have had a vote, and another said it’s unfair he couldn’t vote because he’s at Glastonbury ffs. If an annual drink and drug fest is more important than the rest of your life then you don’t deserve it
City of London may lose ‘passport’ - ECB council member
The City of London is at risk of losing its prized “EU passport”, according to a European Central Bank Governing Council member, who added that Brexit talks must be carried out quickly to limit uncertainties.
The City of London will not be able to keep that passport if Britain leaves the EU’s single market of trade in goods and services, Francois Villeroy de Galhau told France Inter radio.
“There is a precedent, it is the Norwegian model of European Economic Area, that would allow Britain to keep access to the single market but by committing to implement all EU rules,” he said.
“It would be a bit paradoxical to leave the EU and apply all EU rules but that is one solution if Britain wants to keep access to the single market.”
The passport system has helped give access to the EU’s vast market to non-EU banks working from the City of London. The UK accounts for more than 2m of the EU’s 11m financial services jobs, according to lobby group TheCityUK.
The financial sector is a significant part of Britain’s economy and big contributor to tax receipts. Financial services account for about 12% of GDP - more than manufacturing.
But there are fears big investment banks that have made London their European base could now re-locate to cities such as Dublin and Frankfurt.
Scotland to enter into “immediate discussions” with Brussels - Sturgeon
The Scottish government will seek to enter into “immediate discussions” with Brussels to “protect Scotland’s place in the EU” in the wake of the Brexit vote, Scotland’s first minister also says.
As a takeaway, that’s likely to trump Sturgeon’s comments about the preparations for a second independence referendum, which may be some time away.
