In Cab CCTV

I was driving on the buses when cctv was first introduced and they had a few buses where hew cameras where looking at the drivers cab, the unions got onto it straight away.
Nearly all the drivers where in favour of the cameras but not the camera that was directly on the driver, the company and unions agreed to refocus the cab camera onto the ticket machine and not the cab space, every one was happy.
Oh and back then they didn’t record audio.

I don’t know if its still the same now though.

I do not see any reason why a wagon driver should be filmed and especially audio recorded, a slight more chance for a bus driver interacting with customers but a wagon driver picking his nose and singing his lungs out with the odd ■■■■ thrown in… :unamused:

Milk Man:
If they wanted to put one in my cab I would be using it to hang my coat on

I’d cover the lense with tape and the mike, if that failed I would leave the company.
You couldn’t even pick your nose FFS.

Just read this with some interest, so as I’m parked up I had a look around the cab, new Actros, now I’m wondering just what is that tiny hole just to the left of the number 1 on the keypad of the “infotainment” console…

Ok…
Read the manual and it’s the microphone for hands free.

Paranoid? Moi■■?

If a company fitted a driver facing camera to a new truck, theres not alot you can do about it.

there is, you tilt the sunvisor down a bit so it cant see you and you cant see it.

FFS, do you honestly think it will be fitted so a sun visor can block it?

the internal one you plank :unamused:
