And the scenery and and and …
And proper parking for trucks, fantastic truckstops, a clean shower everywhere you go, empty roads, the respect of the general public…
But apart from that it’s just like driving in the UK

Enjoy the experience now coz you never know what you’ll be doing in the future. Best of luck with it,

i should have sent this earlier,if you go the blonc with a fridge, you have to park at the top, walk to ticket office, get two tickets,1 your receipt the other for your ■■■■■■ through the tunnel, you also get a token for the coffee machine.that was about a year ago it may have changed ,
was that you in pd immingham this afternoon lug
I wouldnt use any of the french tunnels to long and to expensive transitting france. id go belgium, luxembourg where id get my t-form for swiss and my cheap diesel then straight on down to basel via metz and strasbourg clear customs that night so as not to get held up in morning and park up in swiss ready to get away early in morning

good luck man, italy is an awesome country with some nice people, dont be scared, just go with the flow and enjoy it…
beware though, they do seem to wire in the horn with the throttle peddle, lol…oh and be prepered for 5 lanes of traffic stuffed into 3 lanes, lol…
again take care and have fun, you’ll want to go back
was always like that yes but they have changed the system a bit there now but not much ive only used it once last year with a fridge so cant remember 100% but i think you just park up and when the convoy vans open the barrier you then drive up to the booth and pay then and carry on into the tunnel.

There’s a width limit of 2.50m on the Mont Blanc Tunnel, if I remember correctly.
Most (if not all) fridge trailers are 2.55m wide, which makes them over width.
There’s more leeway at the Tunnel Frejus, so there’s no extra charges to use it (like ■■■■■■ and over width charges) and no waiting for an ■■■■■■ either.
come on lug, where are the pictures? were waiting!
