Idiot drivers...who do you think is in the wrong?

jakethesnake:
I just wonder if something happened beforehand to maybe instigate what the car driver did?

I’m always a tad suspicious of these type of videos because we know we’re only getting one side of the story, however after watching this video about three times I don’t believe anything happened before the video started.

It seems to be a case of a car driver chilling to the sound of his radio, or whatever it was broadcasting that dreadful noise , and completely ignoring what was going on around him until the lorry driver leant on his horn, I think that’s probably when the car driver realised there was a video opportunity :unamused:

True to form as always Jake, the truck driver must have done something previously to upset the car driver.

I’ve seen it plenty of times when a trick drivers is doing nothing wrong and you her bell ends like that, they think that when they are doing 50mph that trucks are always speeding because a truck doing 50 will be 50mph not 40 odd like a car. Because they are idiots and try and police other people instead of just minding your own business and moving over a lane.

Well, sorry to disappoint you but if you take that biased head of yours off you might just realise some truck drivers cause mayhem on the road with their poor driving.
Many a time going up and dow the motorways in my car a truck indicator will come on and immediately move over to the right when it’s unsafe. Impatient twuts.
Yes a lot of car drivers are dumb but they are not the so called professionals.
It seems you are always blaming others for their bad driving. I know your type.

That’s rich my biased head, sure your not talking about yourself Jake?

I did say the truck driver was wrong as well, but the car driver was also a knob. And I don’t automatically say the truck driver MUST have done something prior to cause it like you jump to the conclusion he MUST have.

Seeing as this seems to be all caused by the lorry driver trying to undertake the car, because he’s not allowed to use the outside lane. Does anyone admit to using the outside lane ever? Or seen another truck do it? What kind of penalty are we looking at if caught?

If you are to believe the description of the video, the car driver is oblivious to the fact that he is the cause of the situation, and that the trucker is sounding his horn at him. It is far too common for car owners to not understand how their actions effect other road users.
As for attempting to pass in lane 3, the car owner would never have allowed that and I’m sure would have sped up, keeping him stuck out there.

I think I probably know who would be charged with dangerous driving if the police had witnessed what had happened. The car driver was in the wrong to hog the middle lane and speed up etc but did he put lives at risk?
One driver definitely did.

I just wonder if something happened beforehand to maybe instigate what the car driver did?

The fact that me and Jake agree on sometimes says a lot :grimacing:

+1
Completely agree.

Tbh the actions of the car driver are irrevalant.
Imagine if a 13 year kid on a bicycle was middle lane hogging on a two lane high street. Because he is doing some stupid crap for a tiktok video. Yea, he is in the wrong but you should go out of your way to ensure you do not cause him any harm and if you do it is your fault.
Yea, the kid is obviously in the wrong but that does not give you the right to try anything dangerous. When your in a large vehicle you have to assume a set of responsibilities to more vunerable road users. That includes cars.

I can quite easily picture this truck driver performing a dangerous overtake on a country road or going up the ■■■ of some old lady plodding along at 40mph even though it is NSL.
For me personally, If I am on a nice stretch of country road and I cant perform a safe overtake I dont and I’ll just plod along at 40mph. Because quite often when your driving a hgv you can not gain enough speed fast enough to perform a safe overtake.

Yeah, you may well be correct. I did say, I just wondered but that seemed to be misconstrued.

It’s just a pity the truck driver over reacted because it just gives the decent drivers a bad reputation as I said before.
Still say there is far too much aggression and bullying goes on these days.

Truck driver I’m afraid

Car drivers are idiots. That’s standard

Truck drivers are superior (supposedly). So acting stupid is worse.
