Yes. While the cat’s away the mice will play, at …jumping puddles maybe…? I don’t mind too much being briefly abandoned in the summer months as there’s always something to do and see, but in winter, it can be a bit of a bore.
ill take one of the trailers if you like
What’s the betting this won’t happen once the price of the ferry turns up! The ferry to Iceland is insanely expensive even for cars and campers. They’ll be companies that specialise in Iceland, think the best bet is to give it to one of them
Would be interested in knowing what happened with this one.
Just got back from a weeks holiday in Iceland, yes, roads are very empty once out of the capital, but in a terrible state, we were always swerving to avoid potholes.
Which I can understand given the weather conditions up there, but it must be a rich country
going by the prices, so surely they could keep the roads in better condition.
Most trucks seemed to be Eimskip, didn’t see any non Icelandic number plates on cars or trucks.
Nice scenery and great people.

Wouldn’t say they were in a terrible state but I did go at the very end of last summer.

Maybe they fix the roads in the spring, no point doing in winter I suppose, so perhaps I just picked the wrong time.

Well put it this way their roads are a lot better then ours and their weather is a lot more extreme than ours.
Old thread resurrection alert !!!
What happened with this job ? Anyone know ?
Im presuming the goods eventually went on containers due to cost, but it depends on what the goods were i suppose.
Most of the stuff I’ve seen go to Iceland, has been in boxes, or unaccompanied trailers.
I drive for Fly By Nite , we had a truck in Iceland last month . I can speak to the driver i you still need to know ?
