Bert,
have finally bought a scanner, so as promised the first thing i have scanned are some FM pictures for you. I have not learned how to use it properly yet, so they could probably be improved, however this is just a test really to see if they come out ok onto the thread. If so I will do some more.

They are a selection of trucks from Yare Haulage (Frans Maas Great Yarmouth fleet) and were all pulling Phillips trailers. Two of the trucks were registered in Belgium, at the time when UK hauliers were ‘flagging out’ to other EU countries, they were re-registered eventually. The smaller Renault is a low ride too.

Bert,

Promised these before xmas, just got around to doing them, not brilliant, but I’ll keep my eye open for Maas vehicles on the road, while I’m out and about - always got my camera at my side !!

I’ve also bought a better scanner, so I’ll get around to re scanning some of my old photos better.

Regards
Ant

These are good photos Dieselcowboy. ‘David’ is still about, and strangely still driving a Magnum, albeit a rather newer one. I worked for Yare Haulage for around 3 years from 1999 until 2002.

Thanks for sharing the pics, be nice to see anymore you have.

orchid express, i forgot about them! i have got a couple of pictures of some of theirs parked for the weekend in felixstowe, i believe they are at dieselcowboys in my pictures

i also had completly forgotten, a guy i used to work with used to work for yares, paul nicholls is his name if anyone remembers him?

only time to do a few tonight Bert, thanks for the advice and PM.

Hope Nightowl still looks on here, Sue this is Denzil parked up for the night at Tilbury.

Bought this picture at a truckshow so don’t know too much about it, apart from it is Yare Haulage

Hi Ant,

Good to see those Frans Maas trailers at work. Here in the north of the Netherlands it is history. You dont see them more. I no between Belgium and the U.K., Danmark to the U.K. and Sweden to the U.K. DSV stil just Frans Maas trailers.

I didend no about English tractors from Yare Haulage had Belgium nomberplates. Agen a new point of the history of Frans Maas U.K.

Also this is a nice picture of an old DAF 2500.

Nice to see the old pictures Dieselcowboy. Thank you.
