do you leave the engine running with that kind off temperatures too stop it freezing up?

Yes, it would never start otherwise. The oil would be like grease.

You wouldn’t do that within 10 miles of Liverpool.

There’s a different mentality out here, mainly because it’s mostly small towns and everyone knows everyone, obviously in the bigger cities there’s the usual collection of light fingered guttersnipes, but even so the truck stops are still safe places.

When I first came here I was hauling SkiDoo, Polaris and Arctic Cat quads and snowmobiles around on flat trailers, they were crated, but the crates had the relevant logo plastered all over them.

In the UK there would’ve been a fleet of Transit vans following me and waiting to pounce, but there’s no such problem here.

There is a downside to this honesty though, you can’t buy nothing on the cheap, nobody will do anything for a back hander, it’s quite weird.

Hi all.Funny NMM,it’s so similar between Canada and Lappland in so many ways, the climate, the way of life, quality of life, the fact that everyone knows everyone else, the honesty. But in one area its exactly the opposite, here EVERYONE wants to wheel and deal and the ‘‘black economy’’ and doing ‘‘extra work’’ is almost the mainstay of the economy.

Always brake in a straight line .
Delivered into Steinbach at 0600 yesterday , minus 31c plus windchill .Lock to the compound was frozen , then I tripped over my hose and buried myself in a 2 foot drift , yeah winter is fun :unamused:

Winter, just have to love it. Everything runs so smooth and quiet. And the backend wants to steep out a bit like an old e30, can it get much better?

Yesterday it was bare mark here. About 40cm+ over the night
