How often.....

Every 6 months!!!

After working for a complete aerosol who didn’t want to see my licence even when offered and asked me to run bent in the first two weeks of being there. I would walk away from any job where they don’t check on a regular basis. We have to obey the law so why shouldn’t the company? One dodgy driver can put you all under the spotlight.

i decided not to get one. well they can’t take it away if you havn’t got one.

Never checked…

Mind u never had my 26 week average off them either.

At the agency I work for, every 6 months… but how about this for OTT. When we work at the Co-op (Thurrock) it has to be produced every Sunday, or the first day of the week that you start there. So picture this senario, if you haven’t been there for a while and start on Saturday, you have to fill in this form and show your licence and digi card. You’re back in there the next day (Sunday) and you have to fill in this form and show the licence again. I have asked why don’t they just copy Saturday’s, the reply was company procedure. :open_mouth:

Ours are checked by an outside company direct with the dvla every three months.

Same procedure at my place, except I think it’s mondays, but basically they have to have a form with a copy of your licence in for every week you do. Also I believe the quarterly/biannual checks of company driver’s licences goes some way towards the Due Diligence part of the O-Licence requirements. So if anyone’s photocard runs out or any such and they get nicked the company can show they have a process to check licences.

every shift at stobarts crick for agency drivers…if you work 5 days they photocopy your licence and digicard evry day.

For two companies i worked for…it was everyday…some ■■■■■■■■ had been naughty…so to cover their arses…this law was implimented…(although for one company…the manager was a ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ the reason…) :unamused:
