How low do you go? - Would you risk it for a biscuit?

Blackwall is 13ft…

My rig:

Hmmmmm

Paid by the hour. In going thru Dartford hahaha.

I always put an inch on the reported height

14-7 becomes 14-8

And I wouldn’t go under anything less than 14-10

Wheel Nut:
I have always carried a tape measure but now with the technology I can measure a trailer, pallet, cooker, fridge, beer mat or my leg using an iPhone, its an accurate bit of kit and you can save the measurement.

that an app?
and if so whats it called ?although im on android.
as sounds like something worth having

Unfortunately it is an ‘Apple-only’ app, called ‘Measure’, free from the App store, works on iPhones 6 and above and is surprisingly accurate

My Huawei (Android) phone came with the AR Measure App pre-installed.

Despite the clip title, he didn’t appear to ‘‘hit’’ the bridge.
And despite the bloke’s commentary,.with the odd negative comment, I think the lad did all right tbh.

Thought he could get under, discovered he couldn’t,.reacted to it, and sorted it with no drama.

He did alright to get out of the situation but not so well in getting himself into the situation. Quite horrible when this happens although Ihave never got into a situation with a low bridge, I have certainly got myself into a sticky situation by going down the wrong road and found myself in a similar predicament with having to do a nasty u turn. Always find people are more likely to take out a camera than to actually help you out.

Not so sure?
The van is “Network Rail Response” so I guess he did contact the bridge.
If there was contact (another guess) it wasn`t a heavy one.

The Mid axle of the unit doesn’t appear to be able to be lifted? Can they all be lifted or some don’t?

There’s a bridge marked 16’ 3’’ on A48 in Cardiff, regularly ran under with 16’ 3’’ DD bit wary first time but it does look higher. Also got caught out in Gloucester once normal route closed because of drain collapse so tried another way missed the initial sign due to it being dark and raining and concentrating on which way to go. Got to a set of traffic lights on bend and confronted with 16ft bridge, luckily a turning to the right was big enough for my escape route to turn round and find another way.
