I can’t find the pics as I’m short on time, but one of you intrepid googlers can maybe dig them out.
There’s a black F88 with what looks like a Maggie Deutz cab extension and Roger Gool’s (Rabbit) Daf with homemade longline space cab type thing.

Ok I found some time, but didn’t find the ones I was looking for, I did find a few more though, not in the pigeon loft category, but home brewed nevertheless.

Yes. Those ones put the original makers’ work to shame. Imagine that blue 142 on the Scania stand at the NEC in 1985.

That’s because you lot never let any thing else in It’s always the same…it’s either a Scanny or Volvo…or Leyland
Hahaha well it sure was like that up until the late 80ths but when the 95serie came and the merc sk came it change a bit and now we have alot of ohter than Scania and Volvo. But still we like our “own” trucks
But i have have 4 DAFXF 95 2 430 and 2 480 and i think they are great!
The Daf 2800 holds special memories for me, my first artic was a 2800 and a few years later I did my first trip to Italy in one. I also had one in between those two and it was okay, but I preferred an F10 if I’m honest, much nicer to drive than the Daf.

Now this is what I mean by a home brewed sleeper cab…
(with apologies to ‘bubbleman’ for using his image…hope you don’t mind, sir)
Nice bit of load restraint on those drums.

I second that “nmm” ! What a ■■■■■■■ wally that Driver was !,I wonder if those drums had set off at the fron’t when he loaded them ? Cheers Bewick.
They’d be back at the front in a hurry if he had to slam the brakes on!
Nice light steering though
A locomotors conversion of a G cabbed Reiver, a BRS motor on contract to Delta metals driven by Trev “H” (R.I.P),probably ready to run back to yard after a dodgy night out if I know Trev!!, Cheer’s Pete

Please don’t take this wrongly chaps, I appreciate all your input, but we’ve strayed far and wide from what I originally asked about…Bedford TK’s/KM’s etc, with the side and rear windows knocked out and replaced with metal boxes, to give a few extra (and valuable) inches of room to stretch out.
Hope I haven’t upset anyone…
