Is that why they’re assembled in Ireland, hence the loyalty by many plant hire companies?

They are assembled in Ireland because a man called Pino Harris agreed a deal with Hino Japan many years ago to bring Hino trucks into Ireland & the UK when nobody else was really interested. The Irish plant hire companies loved the Hino 6 & 8 wheelers because they could take a lot of weight, they were great off road and very reliable.
Harris(Naas Rd Dublin) have been around years, used to be the importers of AEC,Guy etc & I belive BMC cars for the Irish Republic,.All things considered my Hino has been a good motor no major problems to report, at the the start of the London LEZ they they were the only motor available with a short delivery time, my driver prefered the Hino to a Volvo FM 400 with I-shift he left that to me!
