Hi Keith
It always amazes me that all the truck manufacturer’s throughout Europe took so long to develop proper big cab’s,
When the middle -east traffic took really took off in the early 70’s the drivers were away 6 or 7 weeks at a time and
often double manned, it must have been a bit awkward having all your gear and sometimes another driver with you for 6 weeks or so,
in an F89 for example.
Those early long distance pioneer’s must be gob-smacked now if they take a look in any of the modern top spec cabs, its quite ironic
nowadays, a friend of mine drives a new TGA XXL, and rarely has more than one night out a week !
regards
Jerry
Hi Jerry
Here is a photo that I have posted elsewhere, and shows exactly what you are saying. I went ME in this, two up with my father for a few months in 1976. We did not have time to sleep so could not even dream of a sleeper cab
Regards Keith.

Regards Keith.
I would love to trace what happened to that truck. When we sold it ,it went to a company in Prees, Shropshire, called Vin Huxley Ltd. From there it went down south to either Jersey or Gurnsea to move railway locomotives from Belgium.

This 141 and the F16 next to it belong to a guy I know from Caerphilly, he also has a 143 done up too.
