I can only assume it was a shunt in the yard?

As for not having headboards, I’ve seen a lot of Spanish hauliers delivering steel beams on such trailers at the border in Irun, and these drivers gave it some welly! Usually one strap was enough to hold the beams in place.

Looks like an Atkindon solely made for the Australian market?

I see them quite often on the Brenner, going opposite directions, they really stand out from the rest of the crowd.
