PV83,

I chose the Scania because of recommendation from the owner of the pictured one, and also because the Scania dealer took both myself and my driver to Poland, to see the vehicle moving a Cat D11T dozer and attachments - all up weight on a 8% gradient about 270tonnes!!. It also helped that leadtime was shorter and the all up-cost was about 30k Euros less than the Volvo.

Regards
Ed

Cheers Oily, those Unipowers might be resprayed in Mammoet livery shortly…

Any idea what happened to the missing grille? Wasn’t for extra cooling as the radiators are mounted on the side, behind the cab…

Cheers Coomsey! No doubt that DD powered Crusader would have sang quite a tune with such a load!

Some pic’s of the aircushion equipment that was used to cross weak bridges.

Would anyone like to take a guess at the previous owners of the pictured wagons?

The Volvo F12 with crew cab looks like the one Pickford’s used?

The ERF 8 wheeler is ex-Cadzow?

And the FH16 could be a ex-Heanor unit?
