MADBAZ:
I start to indicate left when my repeater is level with the driver, they soon ■■■■ off out of my lane.
Yes i’ve noticed that often has the desired effect
Also often works with numpty truck drivers when you’ve moved out a lane to let them off the joining slip road, then they match your speed.
(though better with them to get the trailer about 1/2 way past).

nothing wrong with an early “I intent to” signal as it cannot be misinterpreted for anything else - if the car driver ASSUMES you are intending to move left NOW and backs off, then that is their choice
It gets on my ■■■■. I spend so much more time at 48mph now, I can only do 52 anyway so it’s not worth even trying to overtake, and they only speed up when they wake up and realise they are being overtaken anyway.
When a car driver is using their right foot to control the accelerator on a long motorway journey, it starts to get tired and very slowly, without the driver noticing, starts to release pressure of the accelerator.
They then start to get overtaken by a truck and it is at this point that they finally decide to LOOK at their speedo - “oops I’ve slowed down!, I had better increase my speed to where it was earlier” - car driver does just that and leaves truck driver looking to pull back in again.
And
Talking to a passenger or singing along to a song can have the same effect as both are distractions which can cause the right foot to ease off for a while - until full concentration is resumed.
i hate wen ya overtakin a car and the rear of the trailer stil hasnt passed his car, then the speed up abit but dont overtake then slow down a bit, it really gets to me !! y cnt they let you pass then re-overtake ■■
Imo.if you are driving on a motorway in a lorry that is limited ( even if its to the max ,what is the max
nowadays ?) and you overtake a car,wtf is the car driver going that slow in the first place? . .
also, why does it always seem to be a car with a National Trust sticker in the back window ?
i need to drive my rover 214si down to croydon ( where i am from) from peterborough to sell it lol BUT i have to do 50-60 to save it from blowing up, i think the Gasket is on its way out and my uncle is buying it from me
So if you see a Red Rover just Flash Your lights so i can get hard and wave at you lol
i passed loads of the plonkers yesterday
they seem to coming down the slip a good speed i pull into centre lane
get passed end of slip look in n/s mirror and where are they
still only halfway down the slip road
and then clear road they overtake not too slowly see the roadworks sign slow
get to 50 limit then pull in front and stand on the brakes then they drive at 45
when they could have stayed in lane and carried on a at 45 - 52 jeeeeeeeeeeeez

Perhaps they may be running on a space-saver tyre which has a 50mph limit.
Although I recently saw a Vectra on a skinny in L3 and he must have been approaching the ton.

‘…On another note… It’s great blasting past you all at 100km/h…’
You are very welcome, Steve-O, but big-van drivers don’t have twelve rows of crisp debris to sweep or the faint odour of old-lady urine to clear after the umpteenth trip to Old People R Us…

Now you know why i long since gave over moving for cars which are capable of accelerating quickly and getting infront, or easing off & dropping in behind.

Is it just me or are we all having to spend more and more time in lane two of the motorways overtaking cars driving running at less than 90ks.
I keep my car down to wagon speeds in the main. I don’t like spotting I’ve slowed down enough to make a wagon pull out, but if they do, I don’t put my foot down, I back off to let them get back into lane 1 asap. Usually I sit a safe distance behind a wagon that’s going as close to 90kph as possible. Oh how I wish for a car with cruise, so I can set it to 90k and have the thing stick there by itself.
groovy greg:
I had this yesterday, and many time before. They see you overtaking and suddenly they power up the warp drive and leave you in the outside lane like a complete and utter numpty If they wish to go at that speed on a dual carriageway/motorway (in good/dry weather) then fair play, i dont have a problem with that. But let other people over take dont just speed up leaving us high and dry then slow down 1/2 mile further up
And then some cars, when they overtake you, they indicate but seem to be waiting to be “flashed in” WHY when i limited to 60mph and you can do 70mph (legally)
And I thought it only happened to me! Theres only one word for them and it won’t get printed on here. MUPPETS

I hate when people slam there brakes on because a lorry is indicating wanting to go into his lane!! even when the driver is half up past him lol
i had some wifey in her skoda today join the edinburgh city bypass and go soo slow that i was passing her, i had got to about the front of her car and she starts speeding up…
well she got the fingers, the lights andprobably every word under the sun shouted at her.
funny thing was i caught up with her later as she was going most of the same way i was going to my next drop…she got the dirtiest look every from me lol
and she is probably still wondering why you bahaved in such a manner towards her as she won’t have a clue what she did wrong.
Yes, there are lots of skate board driving numpties out there, but a so called professional driver behaving aggressively and rudely towards them is not the ideal answer.
I managed to over take 5 slower moving cars on the m1 today, and none of them jumped to warp 7 either , made a change . I even over took a foreign registered reefer as wel on the M1l in my truck today
